How do the alcohol licenses work at disney world? Can I get a drink and carry it all around epcot? what about the other parks (besides MK)?

I've walked around DHS, DAK & EPCOT with a beer without a problem.

If you do not have the beverage in a glass container (must be in plastic), you can carry it all around the three parks that serve alcohol. You cannot carry it out of the park, nor can you carry alcohol into a park.

Same applies at the two water parks. You cannot bring it in, but you can buy it on-premises and carry it around. But you cannot leave with it in hand.

The flipside is true also at the resorts you can carry a drink anywhere you want, but you couldn't walk through a park gate with it.

I would add that while carrying drinks around the parks is ok (except MK) other than WS, it's not the most casual, relaxing experience with throngs of people, kids bumping into you, etc. I prefer to sit in one spot and relax with a beverage. YMMV.
