For a recovering alcoholic, it is measureable, and it may be enough to trigger a relapse.

I'll give you that. I was working for a Grammy award winning red headed blues singer who is a recovering alcoholic who shall otherwise go nameless about 15 years ago and recall her having an absolute fit when she learned that the chicken dinner was cooked with champagne. Unfortunately her production staff had approved the menu a week earlier.

The caterer ended up cooking special meals for her and the half dozen other Friends of Bill W. on the tour.
