Alcohol at MNSSHP?

Oh absolutely! When they get to their room and they are fussing over how fancy it is.

Dan: "Roseanne, take a picture of me with this lamp"

Darlene:[yells from the bathroom] THERE'S A PHONE IN THE BATHROOM!

Dan: No way! I gotta see this [runs to the bathroom] Roseanne we need one of those.

You can watch the full episode on You Tube. :happytv:

Why did I never think to look on youtube for these? Roseanne is probably one of my all time favorite shows and these are my 2 favorite episodes.

Thanks for the links. :woohoo:

Here's what I see all the time. The OP merely asked if it was possible to get alcoholic beverages at MNSSHP. She was told no. She said that's cool, we'll have a drink in the room before we go. She didn't even say "gosh that sucks, you should be able to get a drink." And somebody comes in here and says "if you feel the need to drink then stay home." Where did that come from, was that even necessary?

:thumbsup2

I'm not debating whether it was necessary or not, but my guess is that came from the fact that a previous poster was suggesting that someone could get away with sneaking it into the park in a refillable mug.

And I don't believe it did because it contained the words "don't go to MNSSHP." When all the OP did was ask a question about MNSSHP. And it wasn't "stay in your room" but "stay HOME." As in don't even come to WDW. Nor did she say she was looking for a place to get stinking drunk and throw up into strollers.

I wanted to get one of those dole whips at AK SO BAD, but by the time I made it to Tamu, it was closed and I was so bummed!

This was the reason we choose to go to Villains instead. Hard ticket event that will most likely like most everything at Disney have its fair share of children doing their best banshee impression, parents who are inattentive or other rudeness etc etc. Not saying we are going to get blind stinking drunk just that all this's factors combined with heat and a crowd sometimes you just need an adult beverage to help the magic shine through

This.

Not that I encourage breaking the rules but I heard a rumor in these boards the other day that filling your refillable mug (or other non obviously alcoholic container) with alcohol and bringing it to the park is a non allowed but feasible option

I keep a plastic water bottle full of overproof white rum at all times for medicinal purposes. Something like "J. Wray & Nephew" 126 proof.

If all of us who drank alcohol stayed home...then Epcot would have to have a food and juice festival.

Try Animal Kingdom, you can actually get a shot of rum in that Dole Whip

Oh heavens does that sound yummy!

I'm not that big on alcoholic beverages and I really don't care if the park I'm in doesn't serve alcohol.

That being said.........I DO believe that I will have to try one of those Dole Whip/Rum concoctions!!!

:yay:

I can't wait to be 21 (7 more months) specifically for this purpose!! I'm not super into alcohol either but I want one of these and I apparently have to try the Grey Goose Slushie!

It will happen. Once people get used to alcohol in one restaurant, they will expand it and then eventually they will serve alcohol throughout the park - as it should be. :thumbsup2

I'm so split on this.:mic:

I think a good cool day during MNSSHP or MVMCP could do with some adult eggnog or a cider of some sort. Not to get plastered but just to sip and enjoy the magic that is Disney during the holidays.

On the other hand, I had such an awful time with F&W last year I am seriously questioning going back again.

After a long, crowded day at Epcot stuffed with people on the verge of passing out wearing shirts that are nearly inappropriate on Bourbon St., a group of drunken gymrats hijacked the bus radio to curse, scream, and blast music through it. :drinking:

I suppose the CM's training didn't cover that so he ignored it until an angry father nearly started a fistfight with one of the drunken "gentlemen." Then we pulled over and sat on the side of the road for 30 minutes while their crew hurled explicit insults.

At least they were staying at the ASSp and the rest of the bus got to cheer as they got off.

There is NO way I would ever want the possibility of something like that happening at MK.

I do love me a good Alcohol in MK thread. Almost as much fun as an ECV debate thread. popcorn::

Thank you to whoever posted that tip about the "adult" Dole Whips at Animal Kingdom! I'm super excited about this. Breakfast, anyone? :thumbsup2

Perhaps alcohol in restaurants at MK, but not out on the "streets?" I agree that wine/beer enhance an evening at BOG, LTT cries out for stout or cider, and italian food calls for red wine. However, I think MK is focused on kids and families, and maybe having the alcohol at table service restaurants only is a good compromise.

It's 5:00 somewhere? I will def be partaking in one of these or maybe a couple on my next trip. Wonder if I can use a snack credit?

Sadly, that food blog linked above said that you can only use a snack credit on the non-alcoholic version.

I for one know what my first RD stop is at AK from now on! :drinking1
