Albuterol Question

Cyndiu, my son is on Singulair and it definitely seems to help him a lot so I may see about getting on it as well. At the least, I'll start using something on a regular basis again. My mom didn't tell me at the time (yesterday) but when I had trouble breathing when I had to go to my apartment (3rd floor with steps, no elevator) yesterday morning, it scared her half to death. I don't want to worry her so I'm going to do my best to actually start taking care of my asthma.

Singulair is the miracle drug for my mother! Singulair combined with Advair and Sudafed have all kept my mother out of the hospital AND have kept her from using a rescue inhaler or nebulizer treatment for almost a year now. She was hospitalized at least 2 or 3 times a year, sometimes in respritory distress on a respirator in the ICU! My asthma has never been that severe, combination of Asthmacore and albuterol does the trick for me, but I say YAHOO! and a big high five for Singulair and other advancements in the treatment of asthma!

I use Singulair as well, and it makes a huge difference for me, too.

I hope you're feeling better soon HoneyWolf! I used Singulair for a little over a year and it stopped workign for me.... I am now on Advair and have not used my ventolin since the first dose of Advair! .... and believe me.... I was a Ventolin JUNKIE! I have my fingers crossed that this keeps working for me! Talk to your doc about getting on a preventative medication!

I hope that you feel better soon! I can empathize, because I get really bad allergy attacks that effect my breathing sometimes. I'm taking flonase right now, I don't know if it is something that they would give to you, though!
