Albany, NY airport..

Anyone know anything about the long-term parking? I checked their web site and found a price, but then another confusing price about the "economy" lots..

There is absolutely NO ONE who can take us to the airport or pick us up, so I'm going to leave my mini van there while we're gone..

C.Ann, we fly out of Albany often (we're from the Kingston area) We always use the economy lots. They have shuttles that take you to your terminal and are much less then the regular long term parking. The price is only $5/day, unfortunately, I don't recall how much the regular long term parking is. If you are familiar with ALB, the regular parking is in the parking garage adjacent to the airport, meaning you can just walk over. The shuttles are very dependable we have never had to wait more than 5 minutes and this includes the last time when we arrived at 6 AM.

so what you're saying is that the economy long-term parking is only $5 a day? Shoot - that's a bargain! Do the shuttles start running VERY early in the morning? Our flight leaves around 7 a.m. and we have to get through security and all..

For $8 a day ($40 for the week) you can park in the long term lots. They are right outside the parking garage. From there you can walk into the airport. I only use the economy lot if those lots are full.

I leave my car at albanyparkandfly.com. It's right around the corner from the airport. You pull up, your luggage is placed in a shuttle, then you're whisked off the the airport. The site is secure, and when you arrive back, you just call them. They'll pick you up in their shuttle, and your car will be waiting with the A/C or heat on, depending upon the season. (All defrosted in the winter.) There are coupons on their website
