I think it is *about* one mile past the Mall.

On Monday, I will try to get an exact measurement from the intersection of Wolf Road and Central Avenue to The Macaroni Grille.

Have you found that new wings place on Wolf Rd? It's supposed to be good.

I noticed the new wings place in traffic the other day. It's next door to Pizza Hut.

I haven't heard any other opinions yet.

Tonight I was coming home - using the road that goes right around the airport. A big airplane was coming in. It was EXACTLY right over my car.

Gives me the creeps. Don't ask me why I ducked.

Signing on, but I don't know if I'll make it or not because I have 4 kids and don't have the soccer and baseball schedules yet. Or the extra dance rehearsals. Sigh. well, hopefully I'll be able to go.

I'm in Glenville... right by the airport - is that the airport you were talking about? Were you by Schenectady?

First you can tell I haven't lived up here that long...I actually still notice the planes!!! Everyone in my neighborhood is like "What planes???"

The 109th got called up for Afghanistan -first time they are going to combat since Vietnam - they are going in August... They are beginning to practice the maneuvers for combat conditions. They have been buzzing my house all week. I live down the road from them. It sounds like the Berlin Airlift at my house.

One of the pilots who is attached to the 109th lives in my neighborhood - I swear he buzzes his own house!!!

You should be in the parking lot of either Walmart or Jumpin Jacks when they are practicing... lately they have been taking off and instantly turning to the right or left so you see the whole plane in profile.

I don't really worry about these guys... They know what they are doing and they take apart the planes and inspect and put them back together every time they return from either Antartica or Greenland. (that's their usual routes) They are the ones who discovered a problem last summer that grounded all the C130's for weeks. They are that good.

I haven't made it to the Wings place yet - it was written up in the gazette and it got a good review. Must make it soon.

No ..... It wasn't Schenectady airport.

I drive around Albany Airport many times a week as I go to and from work. I work downtown Albany, and frequently stop at the mall on my way home.

For me, the easiest way to get to Macaroni Grill is from the Northway. Take I-87 North to the exit for Wolf Road (Exit 2). Go straight through the intersection past Colonie Center. Macaroni Grill is maybe 1 mile up on the right side in a strip mall. The address is actually 1 Metro Park Rd., even though it faces Wolf Road.

You can use these directions coming from either direction on the Thruway. The Northway (I-87 North) begins at Exit 24 of the NYS Thruway.

Claudia...I am going to try to make this..I am right in Loudonville, so can I be any further away? If you need any help PM me..I know there are many more DIS'ers in the Capital District than the few that have checked in here. Did you do a broadcast on the NY Dis Thread? If I can help let me know. Is there a seperate room (I have never been there)?

We do not have a private room at MG, but we thought we would miss any crowds by not going at noon. Plus it's a pretty big restaurant so I think we will be fine.

I'm excited ! This is going to be a wonderful DIS meet. I can feel it in my bones! LOL

Macaroni Grill has great Italian food. The prices are reasonable to moderate, depending on what you order.

I would love to come but we have a retirement party in Maine, with one of our best Disney friends. It is amazing how friendships can develop from these boards and Disney. these friends we met over the boards over 14 years ago and we both became DVC members around the same time, spent 1/1/2000 in Epcot together. I would love to meet people from the capital district. I will be watching for the next one. Everyone have a good time!!!

Hello Everyone! A DIS Meet for the Albany, NY area is being planned!

It will be Saturday, April 28th, at 1:00 pm, at Romano's Macaroni Grille, on Wolf Road, Colonie.

We encourage everyone to wear their lime green ribbons if you can. We will have some surprises and lots of fun.
