We are on the 8/1 sailing. I am using viator for a whale watch in Vancouver, Seattle space needle tickets, etc. in Alasks, we are doing our own hike in Skagway, Mendenhall/Mount Roberts Tram/Eric on our own in Juneau. In Ketchikan we want to do a coastal zodiac boat tour. Both Disney and Viator offer what we want (viator is $30 cheaper.). Viator excursion would be at 12 and it says transportation from the dock (all ashore is 11:15.) I would prefer to not do the whole Disney group excursion thing and get off the boat and do the excursion right away, but is that cutting it too close? The next Viator one is 3 pm and I don't want to wait that long. Advice????

At that port it is generally a walk off, no tendering so you should be able to get off the boat closish to 1115 and certainly by 12.

On a side note.... Heads up... that embarkation weekend is crazy busy at the borders, tourist attractions, roads and hotel rooms. Saturday fireworks and Sunday parade adds to the congestion.
