Hello. I just checked the itinerary for Alaska 2016. The itinerary shows a blank spot on Day 3 - which I thought is the day the cruise usually goes into Tracy Arm. Does anyone know if they are still going to Tracy Arm and if the cruise stops there, so you can go check out the town?

Thanks in advance!

There's no "town" in Tracy Arm to stop at.

Tracy Arm is a day at sea going through the a passage way to get to the South Sawyer Glacier.

Ah!!! Well that makes a lot of sense. Thank you. Does that mean, that's just a sea day?

Trying to plan Alaska....so overwhelmed by excursions, Palo, dining rotation, character meet and greets o_O and doing it for 10 people. It's been a while since we've been on a cruise. Forgetting a lot of stuff.

Honestly don't feel like you HAVE to plan everything - that's the great thing about the cruise! Once you're on the ship you will have a great time! Don't try to do everything, because that's impossible, and don't try to plan every minute because once you're onboard you may find that everything goes out the window! But, I do understand the excitement that goes into the planning itself - I'm already dreaming and running through our plans for our 3rd Alaskan cruise with DCL next August

As far as a dining rotation, I know that some people do like to request one, but I don't feel it makes that much of a difference. All the restaurants on the wonder are beautiful and fun in their own way, so I wouldn't fret about getting everything just perfect. If you're trying to pick a night for Palo, no matter what night you pick you will miss something, but it's totally worth it. We personally enjoyed doing Palo brunch on the Tracy Arm day - we still had plenty of time to enjoy the glacier view.

For excursions you can "mark" any that you are interested in as favourites on the website so you can more quickly find them later. I always book DCL excursions even though they are more expensive because I like having all my reservations in one place and I feel there is less to worry about, but you will get a lot of opinions about this. If you are looking for ideas, we LOVED the All Aboard Steam Train in Skagway, the Alaska Whales & Glacier Photo Safari in Juneau, Mountain Point Snorkelling Adventure and the Neets Bay Bear Watch by Float Plane in Ketchikan.

You will find so much info on these boards - have fun planning!

I was responsible for researching and planning for 10 people on our Alaska trip. I was going crazy right about this time last year. I feel your pain, and I survived! Google Docs was my friend.

I've been wondering about the itinerary for that day as well. When we booked it, day 3 said 'cruising' and Tracy Arm. Now it says nothing or 'at sea' depending on where I look. Maybe there will be a change in glaciers they're going to see? Hopefully they'll still be 'cruising' to a glacier that day as that was something we were looking forward to.

There have been times that Disney has gone to a different glacier, but Day 3 is "glacier" day.

It is a sea day, but there is narration during the glacier viewing. It is spectacular. There will be a barbeque in the back of the ship and warm cookies and hot chocolate in the front of the ship on the top deck during the day. So, it is a bit different than a normal sea day.

Thank you for all the advice. Such good info from everyone. :dogdance: Does anyone know where you go to change dining or Palo reservations onboard on embarkation day?

Last summer it was in Triton's, but just look at your Navigator and all will be revealed.

The day is spent travelling 31 miles into and then out of the Fjord.
