We were booked for a summer 2015 alaska cruise with DCL with our of board booking from late October 2013. When the EBPC date came out if was just within our window for booking so we switched over. For only $2k more, we went from a 9A room to a 5B, and got an extra week on DCL.
The two weeks onboard was the main draw, plus our kids are young so the alaska excursions would have been quite limited on what we could do. We will probably do Alaska when they are older, and with the prices as they are, we will probably cruise with another line...
