Thank you for all the Congrats! I am rather excited myself and impressed how easy Disney made the whole process! I have to say this is not my 1st Disney cruise and since I'm such a Disney fanatic it was an easy decision to make regarding the location of my wedding. So hopefully I will get to meet some of you on the cruise. I'll just start wandering around asking everyone if they are on the DIS forums! lol

Congratulations & Welcome Aboard!! How exciting which day are you getting married? Many of us will be celebrating our Wedding Anniversaries while onboard. Lots of celebrating on this cruise for sure!

That is the funny part...we are at their mercy on an actual date but it will be one of the at-sea days and the wedding coordinator said likely on the 1st day at-sea which is the Wednesday! Woohoo!

That's got to be hard - not knowing what day is going to be your wedding day. 1st sea day is the 20th (our 20th Anniversary), so if you get married that day we'll have the same anniversary. lol

Hi All,

I think the first sea day is formal night from what I have heard. A wedding at sea seems like such a romantic idea, I hope we get to see the wedding dress!

And speaking of formal night, I guess I need to pull that evening gown out of the closet and see if it fits or if I am going to need to go shopping. I sure hope it still fits, it is such a pretty dress and I really want to wear it. I guess if it doesn't I could go on a water and water diet

Well, it is time to go and obsessively check to see the status of my passport and to make my nightly check to see if I have been assigned a cabin yet.

So..........as I sit here on my computer bored out of my mind thinking maybe I will make some magnets or something......the next thought is that to do this I need to get up and find my magnet paper and also my old magnets so I don't make some of the same ones....soooooooo I'm to stupid lazy to do that....after all I fell asleep today from 12-3 till the kids got home from school and this just made me feel lazier ....great to have DH working out of the house makes for a good after noon nap

I rented a movie on Alaska that touches on the fjord and ports that we will be visiting and also the train ride that they have.....I think I will watch that tonight since I am in a "I am not going to do anything today" day. One son is at track...the other one is heading out with DH to go Boxing( why my son picks sports to play like boxing and Highschool football where his head gets hit is beyond me but he loves them...mostly Boxing) so I can slug around the house. AND DO NONE OF THIS ...NOPE!

What are you going to NOT do today or tonight ...now get your mind out of the gutter...that's not why I put the dancing banana there

Hi All,

My thoughts exactly especially where the ES's are concerned. NOBODY is that lucky... errr, well, actually I am that lucky but not that dedicated.

As for cruise prep, I don't think that there has been a day gone by in the last year and a half when I have not either actively done something in preparation or spent a good deal of time daydreaming about this trip.

I have been devoting myself of late to increasing my skills both as a photographer/photo editor and a videographer/video editor in order to preserve our memories.

I have a whole bunch of graphics that need to become magnets and tee shirts and I still have work to do on FE's. Not the least of which is making the actual FE itself! I wish I could take a nice long nap, but I have a video editing project that I need to complete tonight one way or another. I didn't get to bed last night until after 3:30 AM and I woke up at 8 so I am feeling kind of draggy.

We had dinner last week with some dear friends who are old hands at Alaska travel and they clued us in on things like long underwear (REI) as they say it will be 40 to 50 degrees or so. They also suggested Nikon Travelite binoculars 8x25 power (they are both astronomers so they know optics) which the Easter Bunny brought to the DH in his basket - lucky guy! He brought me five packages of Peeps (yippee) and a flash ring adapter for my macro flash which I have been wanting/needing for over a year among other things so I am a pretty lucky girl too.

Ahh, well, as enjoyable as it is to chat with all of you kind folks this isn't getting my video edited. Nor is it getting me any closer to being able to rest my weary head. And it is time to obsessively check to see if there are any updates on my passport or if we have been assigned our cabin yet.

as for cameras...I have to get both my video and regular one fixed. No money to get new ones...well maybe a new regular one but not my video camera. And we all for sure want all of our cameras to be in top notch shape on a trip like this

I'm with ya on thinking about this trip everyday since it was booked....seems to be a constant in my brain. But that is because I also do ALL THE PLANNING while the kids and DH sit back for the ride. But that is fun for me because I love to be investigating...as my kids always say.

As for Photoshop...I have the new one and have yet to use it. My boys have used it some for projects...but are real not help with photos on it...so was thinking about taking a Photoshop class...could be fun...or frustrating.

I respectfully withdraw from any ES or Pirate games on this thread. What was fun is no longer fun. Being a cheater isn't in my character. Even if calling me a cheater was done jokingly it was very hurtful to me.

I'm very very sorry don't drop out because of a misunderstanding.....I don't think you are a cheater and that never crossed my mind that you were! I promise!

Tom have you gotten yours back yet? or anyone else that is waiting? and if so how long did you wait? or have been waiting?

I cant believe my kids get out of school on June 1 and than the trip is right around the corner. Also my son is in the middle of starting driving school( better late than never) and taking his SATs and ACT's and subject tests....as I do research on colleges and scholarships...UGH!

I will hate hate hate the day he heads off to college!!!!!!! still have a few years for the other one to head out...but it wont be the same without all of us together....

My husbands is still listed as processing too...I know when I got my daughters and mine, it was still showing processing on their site and we had them in the mail, so they don't keep it too up to date. We have been waiting for about 3 weeks now. So hopefully soon.

I just purchased tons of scrapbooking pages and graphics to make a scrapbook for the trip. The first one DH & I did was for the Baltic and it was actually fun! We bought the DCL Baltic scrapbook and refill pages but still had to buy more pages and graphics. This time I got all the little titles, etc. with a 40% off coupon at Michaels. I wonder if they will have an Alaska scrapbook. I guess we can wait until the first cruise and ask.

Other than that, been off this week and have been exceptionally busy which is why I haven't posted much. DD's due date is about 3 weeks before we sail and it will be tough to go on this fabulous trip. But, thank goodness the internet and iphones are a great way to send photos.
