Thanks Robin! I know I've had a perpetual headache for weeks now. You know Robby got a 149 out of 150 on one of his finals & did very well on his others too. Jeremy got a 100%, a 94% & did okay on his other two finals. Man, if they would have just worked a little during the whole year there would have been alot less stress. Thank goodness it's all behind us now, well except that I've got one more to graduate next year, Jameson who scored a 27 on his ACT.

Think positive thoughts . . . . . oh yeah Alaska is on the horizon. As long as that light at the end of the tunnel isn't a locomotive coming at me, I'll be just fine. :goodvibes

Hi!

A HUGE congrats to your entire family. Getting your kids successfully through high school truly is a team effort! My younger DSS was a nailbiter too. In his freshman through junior years I was preparing myself for the idea that the best he would do would be to live in our garage. Fortunately, he too came through in the clinch and he sailed through college. He is now a successful aircraft mechanic working for a major airline and he is planning to become a commercial pilot!

As for the luggage... I started pulling it out today and I bought a dress for the semiformal or formal dinner, I can't decide. On the up side it should pack small and it has long sleeves - perfect for a brisk stroll along the deck with the DH. I also bought a rolling carryon to hold the DH's camera gear (and a couple bottles of wine too ;-)

Once again, congrats! Onward and upward from here!

Take care all, help lots of people and have a "Wonder"ful day!

The scoop is that my passport has been approved :woohoo: don't have it yet but they will get it out soon...well it's about stupid time...I was waiting for them to ask for blood to prove I am who I said I was:lmao:

School is almost out...can't come soon enough for me. I am going to take a class for photoshop elements this summer....I have PS cs5 but the program is similar..I am going to take the all day class.

Cameras have been cleaned and inspected so they are ready to go.

I am procrastinating however on other things as if I still have 3 years left...popcorn:: oh well will just do it all this weekend so my brain does not have to keep what I still have to do in storage...nothing worse than a brain on overload:lmao:

I by the way love this iPad and can't figure out what took me so stupid long to get one....I am addicted to playing the solitaire app and love the app where you put in your favor music artist and asks your age and it gives you free music and picks out songs/albums of artist that fit that genre and play them for you...it's great because every artist they have picked for me has been me 100%....yup.....I am hooked!

Hi!

I am very glad to hear that they have finally decided to allow you proof of citizenship, darned nice if you ask me:thumbsup2 I was pretty convinced that I was going to run into similar challenges since I have a very long given name, don't use my first name at all, and have several permutations of the name or names I do use.

Amazingly, they didn't bat an eye and just sent me the card - the fools (insert evil laugh here). When mine arrived I excitedly told my DH "Woo Hoo! Now they will let me leave the country!" to which he replied: "More importantly, they will now let you come back to the U.S. afterward".

I know you will breathe a huge sigh of relief when you actually have the docs in your hot little hands. I sure did!

Regarding the iPad, if you haven't already figured this out, you can move your cursor to a different place on the document (especially helpful during DISBoard posts or edits) by holding your finger on the text you have typed until a magnifying glass like thing appears and then you will be able to slide your cursor to the desired spot.

Oh, there is a really fun game called "Around the World in 80 Days" available for free today. Kind of like Bejeweled but with a storyline.

You mentioned a music app that I am unfamiliar with. Would you mind sharing? I have Shazam, the one that will listen to music that is playing and (as long as the iPad has an internet connection (WiFi or 3G) and tell you the name of the song, the artist performing it and then will offer to get it for you if it is available on iTunes.

I found the app I mentioned on Free App A Day, it is one of the featured ones for today. Normally it is $2.99 (which is more than I usually want to pay as I tend to be cheap where apps are concerned :-).

I have been working like crazy on FE's. One of the hardest parts is finding everything that I have been gathering for the past year and a half. We moved in August of last year and I had started making and buying FE items well before that so now I have to figure out where everything is.

That would be a whole lot easier if I actually remembered what I was looking for as well as where to look. Keeps it fun, right?:rotfl:

I have also been obsessively reading every trip report I can find from the other DIS'ers who have gone before. While it has proven to be informative, I also think all that research might be ultimately responsible for the ten pounds I will be gaining on the cruise. All these folks who have been kind enough to post their navigators and the ships menus, including pictures, have kept my mouth watering for days.

I have even begun dreaming about the food. Last night it was all about Alaskan King Crab!

Take care, help lots of people and have a "Wonder"ful day!

I am looking forward to the long weekend. We don't have any huge plans but that is part of what I am looking forward to. How's about you? Any plans?

Hi Mickeyboo and Family and WELCOME ABOARD!

I see that you are not only new to our thread but also new to DISBoards so the fact that you decided to make your debut here on our thread is very special indeed.

Fortunately, the cut off date for the FE is the 28th so I think you folks squeaked in under the line but squeaked in just the same:thumbsup2.

I am sure our Fearless FE Facilitator will be in touch to get all your particulars.

Sooooo, details please... Where in the world are you located? How many cruises? How many Disney Cruises? Celebrating anything?

Oh, and there is a Facebook page that Tom who posted above me (ImTooExcitedToSleep) started. He is also a graphics god so if you need some special DISigns for your cabin door he would be a good person to go to.

Also, if you have any questions be fearless and ask away. Everyone here seems to be pretty nice (as long as they have eaten recently and had a nap :-)

Again, Welcome I am glad to have you with us!

Take care, help lots of people and have a "Wonder"ful day!

We are looking forward to cruising to Alaska, can't believe how time flies. It's only 2 months away.
Too be honest ... I am not the most high tech on the computer, but I'm sure i will learn alot from all of you.

Have a great weekend !!!

That's because it was yesterday... And BOY have you been busy since then:rotfl2:

Thanks for the app info, that is one that I DON'T have.

I hope everyone is having a nice long weekend. As for me, I need to get off my lazy bum and go to Michaels and Joann's. After all those FE's aren't going to make themselves (no matter how tight I close my eyes or how many times I click my heels).

Take care all, help lots of people and have a "Wonder"ful day!

I made magnets at my office on Friday since it was SO stinking boring. Got like 7 done. We just got a new laser color printer so I put that baby to work and got some beatiful stuff done. I am so excited.

I went out to Michael's today and got my last item I needed for my FE's. Hope to get a bunch rocked out this weekend. I need to wait for a few things to be delivered I ordered too...I will probably be making things on the plane :rotfl:

Hope that everyone is having a great weekend...here in Minnesota we got more rain (and hail) today, so it hasn't been an outdoor day, but a good day to be inside getting things done.

Tomorrow I can start doing our 7 weeks till we leave . Hard to believe it is 50 days from today and when I look at my June schedule of activities for my kids, those next 50 days are going to F-L-Y by.

Have a safe holiday weekend!!

7 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

I mentioned on the Facebook group that it would be cool to have a chat night.

Any opinions as to when would be good?

If you're on Facebook and haven't joined the group, what are you waiting for??

6weeks for me...and still no passport  I am so behind on everything:eek: hoping since school is out tomorrow that I will get going....sure I will :lmao:

And I am home so anytime for me Tom is good :thumbsup2

Hi All!

Robin, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and your Passport. Hopefully, the delay is due to the holiday and it will be sitting in your mailbox tomorrow :rotfl:.

As for the Facebook chat, I am also in and can be available whenever it works for everyone else. It sounds like fun to me.

On other notes, I have been hard at work on our FE's and on all the goodies to go into them. The hard part is that although I am currently on a bit of a roll, I am concerned that if I keep going at my current pace I will run out of projects before I run out of lead time for the cruise. Now I know that for most folks that would not seem to be a problem, but I know me. If I am left to my own devices I will run the risk of going waaaaaaaaaaay overboard on things.

As it is I have been working on things off and on (more off than on :-) for the better part of a year. But now things are in high gear.

As for the FE's themselves, I went from just making the one for the DH and myself and assisting/advising the construction of the other three to making all four. Fortunately, I enjoy projects like this and I have been having a bit of a blast. I even discovered some nifty stuff at Michael's that I hadn't ever seen before but I will be using to great effect now and in the future. It is inkjet printable iron on cotton sheets which you can treat like paper but use like cloth.

It means that I can use some of the wonderful DISigns that folks have done for me and some of the ones that I have done for myself and opens up my options as far as artwork is concerned. I am starting to think that I will need to bring an extra suitcase just for FE stuff LOL.

Once I get the FE stuf under control I will need to get serious about the magnets. Judging from the amount of artwork I have collected over the past year I will need to invest in several ink cartridges and a few reams of paper.

Never let it be said that I don't get involved in things in a big way.

i hope things are going well for everyone else and that you all had a relaxing Memorial day. And for everyone eagerly anticipating the end of the school year... Congrats on making it through another year. My hat is off to you all :worship:

Take care all, help lots of people and have a "Wonder"ful day!
