We are DCL cruisers, but doing Princess to Alaska this May. I'm reading that certain tour companies are cancelling White Pass Railroad excursions that go to Canada. My Princess TA assured me that their excursions are not cancelled. I'm wondering if Disney has cancelled any excursions?

The White Pass Railroad canceled all trips that go to Canada so your excursion would be canceled or modified. It's not dependent on the cruise line since the operator is the one who is not doing the Canadian portion of the railroad.

My understanding is the same as @lovingeire The company that runs the train is not running the trains across the border, and since it's their trains, that's the actual situation. https://wpyr.com/updates/?fbclid=IwAR21h65snR3d6T8sI4MCisvuytKI1dH74Ml3Hndl9uURhZaOR8q0jUuxlMI

That said, we have an excursion that involves the train on our cruise plans, and we have not heard from DCL about a cancellation or modification yet. Also, DCL still has some of the other excursions listed as options. So I don't know if the cruise lines haven't gotten the message yet, or are working on sorting it out on their end before they let the passengers know.

In our case, we were going to do the train up/bike down excursion. There is a bus up/bike down option (not as fun as the train), but since the train station is over the border and the train people are not going to that station, train up/bike down is not an option.
We've actually picked out something completely different as our plan B-- but waiting to see what DCL does (which, I assume, will eventually be to cancel our original excursion).

Adding to say, as a bit of reassurance-- that all excursions that involve the train are not completely cancelled. The train will be doing round trip runs up to the border and back, just not crossing over to Fraser. I don't know if they do an engine switch up there or have an engine on each end of the train. They will still also be offering the excursion that drops off hikers at the Denver trailhead.

I also have not heard from the cruise line about the excursion we booked with them. I did email Shoreside Concierge to ask. The private tour company we booked with, which we did after our concierge booking window, contacted us right away and had us rescheduled (or was offering a refund).
