What does everyone wear to dinner on an Alaskan cruise? I've only be on warm weather cruises where I typically do a casual sundress and sandals, maybe a light sweater in case the dining room is chilly. Are we talking more like pants? Dresses with tights/hose to keep legs warm and a sweater? Just not sure how cold/warm the ship will be...
We are cruising the end of June

I haven’t been but in May I’m planning skirts and sweaters. I wear bare legs with skirts in winter back home (Calgary) but I also picked up a pair of fleece lined tights in case the dinning room is colder than I’d like.

We wore mostly jeans/pants and found people to dress more casually than when we’ve done warm weather cruises.

In terms of dining room temps, I remember thinking the ship was actually a bit warmer than I would have liked considering I was wearing warmer clothes. But, you know how it is, everyone is different in terms of their temperature preferences.

We’re going in early June and I’m planning long dresses/skirts and light sweaters (except first night and the night we’re in Ketchikan)

We had jeans/short sleeves on the cruise casual nights and dresses (with shawls/sweaters) for formal/semi. I found it mostly comfortable to hot inside as they had the heat on.

The interior of the ship isn't cold on Alaska cruises. Dinner attire will be the same as on a Caribbean cruise.

I’m planning on wearing dressy pants with a sleeveless or short sleeved shell and dressy cardigan or casual more fashionable blazer most nights. I’ll bring ballet flats.

It's not as cold as you think it's going to be in Alaska in June, at least not anymore. I remember sitting on deck and having blankets passed out by crew on a Princess Alaskan cruise when I was a teenager (90s). Then on DCL in late June 2018, after packing a mix of warm and cooler weather clothes, I ended up having to do laundry because only the warm weather clothes were being worn. The cool weather we did have was definitely "cool fall weather" rather than anything wintry. Anyway - dress exactly as you would for dinner in a warm destination and bring a light sweater for the AC! You'll be fine.

Nice jeans and slacks, light short sleeve sweaters/tops, cardigan, or shawl for the MDR/Theater. Figure a vast majority of your wardrobe will be for exploring Alaska: warm layers plus hiking boots/sneakers, socks, etc. Both of our cruises to Alaska have been either the opening week or the last sailing of the season, so the excursions were still cold and rainy.

We found Alaska to be more casual. In fact it’s the only cruise where a couple of times we got back so late from the shore excursion we didn’t dress for dinner. I had brought a pair of black jeans with and I ended up wearing those a couple times instead of the skirts planned.

While I haven't been to Alaska on DCL, I have been on Holland America and Royal Caribbean, and both of those were more casual in Alaska. Even Holland America with the exception of their formal night where you were expected to remain in that all night, even after dinner. (That was my in-cabin night to avoid having to stay in uncomfortable stuff all evening.)
