I'm so jealous ! A friend of mine arrived last night . I'm still here in Newfoundland where there is 15 feet of snow and its -10, but she's there .

:sad1: :snooty: :sad1:

I just got back and I was so jealous of everyone in the airport getting ready to start their vacation while mine was ending....

I feel for you. That was the same for my on my last trip. I mean, the trip was fantastic, of course, but seeing people getting ready to go, with their little tags,.. so sad .. :(

just read your post, noted u were in nfld. where from? from avalon peninsula here, but transplanted to tx here! i am waiting for a trip in aug to the world, first one for the whole family, and cant wait.

I can totally relate! Everytime we leave I am sooo jealous of everyone just getting off the plane. I swear sometimes they are smirking at me as they walk by! :rotfl:

I myself am born and raised here in Mount Pearl :)

I am from Mt. Pearl as well. No 15 feet of snow, grass on my front lawn and maybe a 7 foot pile at the curb from snow plow. Definately not -10 but actually 0 degrees. Don't make yourself more depressed. Spring isn't too far.

:grouphug: Will she bring you back a gift?

I was feeling sorry for myself because we had a few flurries today and its in the 30's (F).

My Dh & I really love Newfoundland. Been 3 times. Once we flew to St John, and we drove and took the ferry the other 2 times.

hey there, outer cove raised and familiar with mount pearl. too bad abuot the snow, but would love to have some down here. the temp up here is in the 60's-80's and my peach tree has little bitty peaches on it. lol, not the weather i grew up with , you know. would love to have some jam jams up here though!!!!
keep dry up there.

I may've been exagerated a little there. Yesterday it was about 12 feet of snow but now, thanks to the rain, it is around 10, but had been 15 at one point this winter. But then again, I live on the very corner of a U-shaped street, so I always have more snow than most people here. And when I posted it was -10 degrees. Oh, I wish it was spring, but it's true that Newfoundland pretty much has two seasons; winter and summer. Winter for 9 months, summer for 3. Ugh. But it shouldn't be too long, I can see crocuses poking out !

Hi guys,
you have got to move to CBS .i have a little bit of snow in my backyard. I have had crocus blooming for 2 weeks. This winter seems to be hanging on . some friends of ours left on tues. while they sat by the pool on tues night having a drink we had to watch snow/slush fall.

I'm with you! I am in northern NY state where is is snowing and cold (my poor crocuses are shivering) we are on a 2 week break from school and my brother is on his honeymoon at WDW! It just isn't fair!:headache: :headache:

It doesn't even matter if it is cold and snowing ... I would still rather be in WDW!!! I feel for you OP, but I feel for me too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna be in WDW!!!

Don't be jealous! It's going to be cold tonight! 46 degrees.

OK, maybe not cold to you, but cold to us. :scared:

My husband is from St John's. I tried to get his brothers and sister to chip in and get their parents a contract with a snow removal company for Christmas, but they decided against it. They had heard it was going to be a mild winter :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: (is there such a thing in NFLD?). Anyway, after the brothers spent the winter shovelling their parents' driveway perhaps they will be more receptive next year! (We live in Ottawa, so we can't help them out).

Ahhh , mild winters :rotfl: , they keep teasing us with the prospect of those , it just never actually happens.

I hate people who are starting there vaction when mine is over

I got to be my planning- freak self though and help her plan everything, but deep down i was still wishing my vacation was coming upp , i still have a year + , ugh .
