Alamo Toll Cost??

We are renting from Alamo on Saturday. If we decide to just go through the fast lanes at tolls, what does Alamo charge to use their transponder?? I thought I had read that they charge $2.00 per day plus the cost of the tolls. Is that accurate?? We are thinking it might be quicker and easier!!

That is how the new system works for Alamo, National, and enterprise. The cost for tolls alone is about $2.50 on 417. Technically you do not use a transponder, but they take a picture of the license plate. you will save some time, but not a whole lot.

We did this on our last trip. Alamo charged $2/day (plus the cost of the tolls) for any day in which you go through a toll, maximum $6 per rental. We went through tolls on the first day and last day of our trip so it cost us $4 plus the tolls.
