A few weeks ago, Alamo had very rental price for SUVs, I booked one for our end of Aug trip for 9 days for $212 using the entertainment code. Recently the SUV rental in MCO went up and I have stopped checking.

As the trip is getting close, this morning, I checked renting from CCC, it turned out that they still have the low cost SUV rental at CCC, I reserved another one for 9 days for $188.

Now I have to decide which one to keep.

What time will you travel?
I am going next week. When I checked just now, it is still there, I tried to use pick up from CCC but return to MCO , the base without all the discount is $197.. On the other hand, if I were to pick up from CCC and return to CCC, the rental rate went up to $323 without adding the discount code.

Thanks!! I just made a reservation for the beginning of Oct. for 8 days with the entertainment coupon for a total of $188.77 with all the ridiculous taxes, etc.

Thank you! It will be nice not having to squeeze our suitcases in to the small trunks!

We are going Sept 9-19th. I did pickup from CCC and return to MCo and got a price of close to 369.00 for 10 days. Are you using the entertainment book code? Any help would be great.

I did pick up and return to the airport and yes I used the entertainment coupon for $25 off, it actually gave me like $16 off plus the $25 off.

We are going September 4-11 and booked a SUV for $138.00 for the entire time (7 days). Maybe it's because we are Canadian? When we leave the country of residence to United States, it jumps to $213.00.

I don't think you can get around this if you are from the US since they need your driver's license when you pick up the car and it will clearly state that you are from the US.

The entertainment code will give around $30 to $40 discount, but the rate is still high. I plugged in your date and got the same rate as you go, but if I try use canada for residence, I would get a lower rate as yyzgurl suggested. :confused3

I can get an 8 day SUV rental (Ford Escape) from Budget picking up at Doubletree for $167.72 all taxes included dropping off at the MCO in Sept, Oct or November. I have reserved a mid size suv in March for 288.00 all inclusive for 14 days , pick up at Doubletree and drop off at MCO

I was looking online at the entertainment book and the $25 coupon is for : Rental must begin on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday

I posted another thread asking if anyone had an extra entertainment coupon or can you use the one online? But If I go to pulg in the codes it does give me the dicount but I don;t understand b/c my rental begins on a saturday not the days it states above on the coupon. :confused3

Can you believe this? For 09/09 to 09/19 it is cheaper to rent it from MCO, with the entertainment code, and it is $259. The entertainment code gives around $47 discount. Without the code it is $314.

Thanks everyone. We decided book our airfare finally today and I think I am going to skip the rental car. We are staying onsite so we will use DME to get to the hotel and back. I will have snacks and drinks delivered and use Mears for 14pp to Sea World. The rental fee for carseats is 9.00 a day and I need 2.That's 199.00 for carseats alone. Dh commutes a 1000 miles a week so I think a break would be nice. It will really feel like vacation.

I just booked an SUV from Sept 24 to Oct 2 (8 nights) for @214.43 thru Alamo using a coupon that I found online that takes me directly to their website to print :cool1:

Could anyone tell me when would be the best time to start looking? We like to pick up and drop off at the airport (MCO). I would appreciate any help. We are planning to go from March 2 to 12. Right now the best deal seems to be Alamo at $527 total. But that seems a bit steep to me. What do you think? I was hoping for between $300 to $350. Am I unrealistic? Thanks.
