We are booking our Alamo car rental through our credit card points (Avion) and I see that there are options for Standard SUV and Standard SUV AWD. We've always rented through Alamo at MCO and I've never noticed that they have rows for these two different options - can anyone confirm if they do? The Standard SUV costs less than the Standard SUV AWD and I'd prefer that if it doesn't reduce our options. We typically opt for Hyundai Santa Fe as we drive that at home and feels familiar. Thanks!

I looked on the official Alamo website and AWD isn't shown as a choice, maybe the website you are looking at has old information? I can see wanting an AWD vehicle in some parts of the country in the winter that get snow/ice, but doesn't seem like that would matter for Florida.

My personal vehicle is an SUV with AWD. There is a switch where I can turn that feature off when it is not needed. I don't notice any other differences to how the vehicle rides/handles regardless of whether that feature is off or on. Using AWD provides additional traction when driving in wet/slippery/icy/snowy conditions.
