Alamo - Standard size aisle? - TPA

Years ago, National let you rent a "standard" size car. It was in between a midsize and a full size, but when you got there you chose from the full size line.....

I am renting in Tampa and am wondering if they actually have a "standard" size aisle.... their website says it is a Chevy Malibu or similar.....

I've also reserved a Standard class car from TPA, picking up on the 28th. Interested to see what aisle we pick from and what cars were on it.

Debating against this or booking a midsize with National and "gambling" to try and get something like a Van or SUV.

We had a standard booked back in November and selected from the full size isle. Didn't ask questions, just pulled up to the booth and we were on our way. They didn't ask and we had no issues on our return other than it was an early return that caused other problems.

Yikes, I thought I posted on our experience! We rented a standard size at TPA and you just pick from the full size. I think they only had Malibus, Impalas, and HHRs.

Thanks so much. I guess we'll likely go with the Impala for the extra room. Would be nice to score one with upgrades (LT or LTZ?)

Also still holding a National reservation for Emerald Aisle for $30 more. Will likely cancel that.

We had a Costco discount plus upgade. We paid $188.87 for ten days standard size at MCO but they had us select from the full size isle. Yikes, don't think we would have fit in anything smaller. Our four BIG suitcases barely fit in the trunk. Thank goodness for the upgrades.
