Alamo rates dropped again

I just checked my car rental rates for June 25-July 10...and the rates dropped about another $65!!!! So my rental went from $337-$274 (Equinox)...

Just thought some of you might like to check your dates as well!!! Good Luck

Could you tell me what codes you used? I just did my days in May using the $15 off e-coupon and the Wal-Mart codes for 8 days in mid-May and it's $148 inc. taxes.

I used Walmart ID plus a $25 coupon, D24C that was on Alamo website when I first booked.

I couldn't find the $25 link on their site, but have the Entertainment book with a $25 coupon...used it with the WalMart code and got my rate down to $138 inc. taxes for 5-15-06 through 5-23-06 (picking up at noon and returning in evening).

Careful, from past experience I've found Alamo doesn't let you stack or mix & match codes/contract #'s like National does. Entertainment coupons must be used with entertainment code, etc. Not sure if they'll allow your "find"....would be nice though.

This has memories of last year when National would keep dropping. I guess this year it is Alamos turn.

I have an 18 day rental (June-July) for $282.

Check all the ressies you have, they have seem to have gone down.

Thanks, I just rebooked mine for May 9-13. Saved $20. Unfortunately we're not staying over Sat. night so can't take advantage of coupon! I'll keep checking though for those last minute specials.

I relooked, it is the Entertainment coupon, $25, not on the Alamo site.

glad lots of people got a better deal...I actually decided to use the Costco $25 coupon instead of the $15 one I had so my rate is down to $262...I'm so excited...

Thanks for the heads up. I checked rates for our August trip and our SUV rental is down to $102 per week, AMAZING rate. Love It!!!

Thanks! I had an intermediate booked May 13-19 with National for $156. Alamo's price for the mid-size SUV was $99!!! Yahooo!!

With the ding of $44 each way hot off the presses from Albany, I went ahead and checked out Alamo. I love the Emerald Aisle, but the pricing is getting too high. Since they were offering the equinox for less than compact prices, and it's an suv, so we could use the higher coupon, I switched over to Alamo. Our price for a full 7 days, May 2 - 9 is $96.17, and that includes tax. I wanted to try this car anyway, so here was my chance. Hopefully going to the counter is pretty fast, I hate to waste time waiting!
