I was told on another Board by someone that they had added an extra driver to their reservation and did not incur additional charge because they were Quicksilvr members.

I have a reservation and went back and added my QS number and the additional driver information, but also got charged $8.00 per day for the additional driver.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

I never remember reading that you get an extra driver using QS. The only place I remember seeing a free additional driver was if you use one of the WalMart codes for Alamo on the Mousesavers website. Apparently if you use the code then you get a discount and a free additional driver.

QS is also the name of a towncar agency that's been banned from DIS...

How come they were banned?
Didn't they payoff the right people? :rotfl2:

I just rented from Alamo, a Caddilac DTS, $220 for the week . I used both the Wal-Mart customer code, online $30 coupon and received the additional driver at no extra charge. Otherwise, it would have cost $8 for an additional driver with my B.J. card, Entertainment book coupon or other code.
Good Luck,
Joe

If you add an additional driver with Alamo, do you need to give them the driver's license at the counter or can you do it at the QS kiosk in the garage? -- Suzanne

They didn't adhere to the board rules.

Which are?
Unless you are a board sponsor, you aren't allowed to put out posts that recommend your company....or spam. We have a very good board sponsor in FL Tours..they have a good reputation, and it's not fair for another company to post under different names reporting to have gotten great service with the company in question. Spamming is against the board rules. You are not allowed to post anything that in any way 'promotes' your company. It's okay for a 'regular' poster to say they used your company and to tell of their experiences. But, not if they are employed by the company.
Hope this makes some kind of sense.

I just signed up for QS and it the agreement said that your spouse or employee could drive the rental too. I assumed that you did not have to actually indicate another driver on the reservation form because this was automatically part of the QS program.

Just one more thing to add to what :goofy: 4 :tink: said -- the actions of the webmasters (such as this) are not up for debate, and preferably not for discussion (face it, if you were banned from a message board, would you want everyone else talking about what happened and why without the ability to defend yourself?).

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread regarding Alamo car rentals and their preferred customer program. :)
