Just went and checked my reservation dates for our Alamo rental car for next week ( 8/12/11 to 8/26/11 ) and it dropped $78.00 since the last time i checked on 7/20/11! I just went from $426.70 to $348.26 for a full size 2 week rental! :cheer2: If your dates are really soon, go check it out. Hopefully you can save a few bucks too! Meanwhile , have a super Disney Trip fellow Disers!:woohoo::yay:

Generally my dates went down but not the class that I already have booked (that's quadrupled!)

So the question is.. do I stick w/ the mid-sized SUV for $123.xx (4 days) or go down to a Standard for about $99.xx. Think I'll stick w/ the SUV.. even though it's just two of us, I always feel a bit safer in a bigger/higher vehicle.

For my original booking I used Insiders & the $35 off a 3 day rental (no longer active).. for the new booking I used Insiders & a birthday coupon they just sent me for a 'free day'.

Yes, both Alamo and National have both dropped alot over the last few days. I've got a full size/Exec. Aisle rental for 1 week (Aug. 12-19) for a total of $145!

pay it forward to October please;)congrats on the great august rates!

i assume u all know about the insider $45 coupon code for many aug & sept dates - AD4015JDN

Yea, except it's blacked out to most of us who are picking up before Aug. 15th...that bites. The National coupons are blacked out to us too!! I check each day just in case it changes.

What codes did you use to get that rate with National? I can pick-up a car at either MCO (on 8/9) or PBI (on 8/12) with a return to MCO on 8/21, and my rates are holding steady, or have gone even higher. Very disappointed in the rental rates this August - I've never paid this much for this time of year.

I'm getting a base rate of $139 right now before discounts or fees. Using the 5007160 and my personal one day coupon from my account since the regular coupons are not working for my dates.

Thanks - it's the 9-12th that's killing my price. Quoting me over $500 for a mid-size vehicle from 8/9-8/21. If I could pick-up at MCO instead of PBI on the 12th, my cost would be $222 w/o any coupons applied. Pick-up at PBI on the 12th is almost $350. Guess I'll still be holding on to my full-size for $284 from Alamo. I can live with that price, but I'm certainly not ecstatic about it.

grrr - it's been hard to get any coupons other than free day or upgrades to work @ MCO this year:headache:

Thank you very much. I just saved $60 for 8/19-8/26 from National using the $35 coupon and contract 5007160:yay:
