We are booking a car for our December 8-16 trip. Who would you suggest to go with? We were going to go with Alamo but are having major problems with them. Which company is most reliable?

I've used both and it now all comes down on who's the cheapest.

We are even doing ME and then renting from the DTD hotels or CCC to do away with the airport hassles.

dollar is having a pretty good promo if it's available at the time of your vacation. enter OCVB in the promo area. to get to this you have to click on specials first.

What DTD hotels have car rentals?

Most of them (Car rental)have a place somewhere on Hotel plaza blvd. I'm using Grosvenors for our Dec trip ( Dollar )saved $150 on what I could find anywhere else for the times. I used Expedia to bring up what was avail.in a 10 mile radius of WDW and it brought all them up.Then I just went on their sight and entered the codes (Grosv is MCOS01 with Dollar).

For our OCT trip I'm going a bit further as I'm getting a Standard from Enterprise for $17 a day weekend rate. They will come and pick up and it's only across I4 on Epcot way so not bad.

yes using the ocvb promo the rates for dollar are much cheaper. i got a $120 for an economy for a week(that includes all the taxes). same car from alamo the cheapest i could find using all the promos was $250

I booked Alamofor 225.28, we needed a couple of more hours and they have a grace period to return the car. Dollar is comming in at a much cheaper price but with no grace period to return the car and the prices go way up when you need two more hours. So we are very undecided as to what to do. Are both places in the airport? Do you have to take a shuttle to get to either one?

Both are on-sight.

I often pick-up or drop-off my Alamo/National rental car at the Dolphin. The Car Care Center also has Alamo/National - but I usually stay at the Swan or Dolphin, so the Dolphin's office is much more convenient for me.

Thanks for this information. We're going to try to get better rates.
