We used Alamo for our rental car this trip and I am happy to report it went very well. I didn't use a coupon this time as I got a cheap rate for an Equinox for 8days May 13 to 20th. I did online checkin prior to us leaving. We arrived at MCO earlier than I had thought. We had asked to start rental at 11am, but our flight actually arrived early, we got our luggage and were bypassing that Alamo line in the airport by 10am. We took our luggage and proceeded to the car lot. No Equinox available so I took a Saturn Vue. Then loaded up the luggage and took my rental agreement I printed prior to leaving and headed to the exit. The rental agent takes your agreement and checks credit card and license and then you are on your way. It took a total of less than 10 mins!! The car was nice, new and clean. No problems at all!! :thumbsup2

I used Alamo online check-in last April, and it worked well for me also. I flew in to Sanford though, and the Alamo building is quite a hike from the terminal. :faint: Kinda funny, but when I asked where the compact cars were, the lady at the counter pointed me in the direction and told me to take whichever one I liked. Well, I had a choice of one, and it reeked inside of cigarette smoke. :smokin: :sad2: I meant to stop for some Febreze and then leave it in the car when I checked back in, but I forgot! I think since I almost always fly RFD to SFB, I'll stick with Avis in the future.

Sounds like a great experience. We used Alamo a few weeks ago. I had a coupon tho, so I had to stand in line. Just curious what your rate was, without a coupon? We had $120 for 7 nights with a coupon.

Glad to hear the online check in went well. :goodvibes We have a Chevy Trailblazer reserved and will be doing online check in for our July 1 reservation. And since we have never used alamo before (used National EA), I was a little nervous. But I feel much better since hearing the good report. :thumbsup2

The rate I got was $109 for 8 days. I booked a midsize SUV. It was suppose to be an Equinox but got a Saturn Vue instead. I just watched the boards and when someone posted the Alamo rates dropped I jumped on the site and got the great deal without coupons.

Thanks for the post Kaybee and your reply on my thread. I have a midsize SUV for 9 days starting June 9th for $102.81 for weekly rate, Plus 2 days at $33.70 for a grand total of $136.51. After Taxes, surcharges, fees, tire recovery, Florida tax, Federal tax, my first born and my right kidney $183.45.
