Alamo minivan

I have reserved the 7 passenger minivan with Alamo. It says Chevy Uplander. I'm not familiar with those. Anyone ever get an Uplander or some other minivan with Alamo and would like to share their experience? The 8 passenger minivan, Toyota Sienna, is quite a bit more expensive.

Chevy Uplander is the updated version of what was the Chevy Venture. I drive an Uplander and it is a comfortable vehicle.

When they say Chevy Uplander or similiar they usually have some Plymouth or Dodge Caravans or Voyagers available as well.

We rented an uplander in March from Alamo and were extremely happy with it! Plenty of room for 4 adults, lots of luggage and tons of groceries we picked up before we got to the condo. Loved the DVD player. They even let us pick out our favourite colour from the lot. We loved it so much, I already have one booked for March 2007.

Has anyone every gotten the Toyota Sienna? It seems to be the most expensive vehicle they have to rent. I'd actually like to try one, because I've been thinking of buying one, and it would be a great test drive. I wonder if I could upgrade for a better rate when I get there. Right now they want $299 for a 4-day rental!!!!
