Booked an intermediate SUV with alamo for JAN 2017. Anyone know what vehicles we could expect? Curious about if I should stay with this or go full size car. Will be 4 adults and 1 car seat and a suitcase for each.

Picked up tonight. Choices were mainly Jeeps (with 20k miles plus), lots of Chevy Trax, one Nissan Rogue (27k miles). All of these have disappointing trunk space. We took a Chevy because it was the newest of the bunch but couldn't get more than 3 small suitcases in the back. I'd personally go full size with that many adults plus baggage.

Think I'd go with the Full Size if it's cheaper, usually more storage for luggage.
FYI: on our last 4 or 5 Florida winter vacations in January/February, we have rented FS and found FS cars, SUV's, CUV's and minivans on the Full Size aisle at Alamo

There's not a whole lot of storage space behind that backseat in an SUV. 1 medium suitcase, a couple of carry-ons and a couple of personal items/bags pretty much fills the storage area in an SUV. The other downside to the SUV is that anything in the back is visible through the windows, unlike a car where you can lock it out of sight in the trunk.
If an SUV is a must have for the "people space" then you should definitely book the SUV so as not to be disappointed.
On the other hand, if a FS car will do the trick (and is usually considerably cheaper), then personally I would book the FS and see what's on the FS aisle when you arrive. From our experience Jan/Feb seems to be a time when SUVs and minivans are in low demand and very often wind up on the FS car aisle.

Thanks, after looking this over today that's exactly what we did. Booked the FS car and dropped the int SUV. Hoping for a large car (van would be awesome). If not it's still manageable. I mean I could always tag my luggage for the ME bus and we'd be fine
