AlAMO How much earlier can you

pick up your car. I have the opportunity to leave on an earlier flight the same day. I am scheduled to pick up the car at 8pm on one day and return it 8 days later at noon...... so I paid for 1 week and an extra day.... anyone know how much earlier I can pick up the car without changing the reservation? If I change it I tack on an extra $100 bucks not worth it for 7 hours not even 7 hours at disney.....

You are charged in 24 hour increments. If you pick it up too early you will need to bring it back earlier.

I would call Alamo, tell them there was a change in you flight, and ask what they can do for you. They are generally very accommodating.

We were once 30 minutes early to pick up our car and we were told we could not get the car earlier than our reservation time. If they changed the pick up time the price would increase even though our return time was prior to our pick up time. IE we were to get the car at 8:00 am and return it 6 days later at 7:00 a.m.

So I would change the pick up time before you arrive at the airport.

yeah that's what I thought. There idea of accomodating was a new reservation that would cost me over 150 dollars for 6 extra hours....... so not happy

I once had to extend my stay by 2 days due to cancelled flights and they only charged me the daily rate of my original reservation, which totaled 30 something dollars. I thought that was very fair.

Sorry it didn't work out for you, but I also wouldn't give up so easily, I'd call again and try to talk to a supervisor. What are the dates and times you will be picking up and dropping off, and what do you feel is a reasonable rate.

I talked to 2 different people and a supervisor. and luckily it's become a moot point I pricelined the same class car and am only paying 4 dollars more so I will be cancelling this reservation.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to get something for almost the same price as your original reservation, so you're getting your extra 6 hours for $4, that's a pretty good deal. Glad it worked out.
