I recently switched my booking to Alamo at Orange County/SNA after noticing rates via Costco had dropped a lot. However, it appears that Alamo's SNA location does not offer the same type of skip-the-counter option that I have used before at MCO. There is online check-in, but if I understood their website correctly, that still requires a stop at the counter.
So my question is: Does anyone know how reliable their kiosks are? I am a little worried about finding that the kiosk can't read my ID, or is out of service altogether, etc., thus banishing me to the horrors of the counter. I would prefer the kiosk because it generates the rental agreement and sends me directly to the car, which sounds fast and convenient--unless the kiosk doesn't work. Has anyone used a kiosk at SNA recently?
