As anyone used these before. Just want to find out if there are any hidden charges when you get to orlando. Works out cheaper than virgin by the looks of it with free additional drivers

I have used Alamo twice now. If you buy their fully inclusive package, I have never been asked for anything else. The issues I have had though are to do with fuel.....I have been charged around £30 for a tank of fuel when I returned the car full. Alamo refunded after a bit of messing about but they couldn't really argue because I photographed the dash of the car showing the correct mileage and a full fuel gauge!

Used Alamo lots of times but never thru their co.uk site, always found cheaper via a UK agent like I posted a few days ago in your other thread, cost for your dates would be £201 less 5% cashback = £191. Using the Alamo Brits link you will pay £224 but if you want an additional driver then this would be the better deal.

Doesn't matter if you book via Alamo.co.uk, Netflights, Auto Europe or many other all inclusive agent all you insurance is included. That doesn't stop them trying to get you to buy a tank of gas, upgrade the car, buy roadside assist insurance, personal insurance, toll transponder and anything else they can think of.
I have rented over 50 cars in the States, many no hardsell at all, just sign and go but on the other hand some have been a nightmare, worst was Alamo Boston last August. tried to sell me every single one of the above list plus she wouldn't admit I have free additional driver, had to ask for the manager in the end. After all the hassle I returned car after the holiday and she had still added a tank of gas(after I left the building) had to get another manager to remove.
Just say no to everything they try sell you.

Looking at a diff car now and looking for an additional driver so .co.uk site looks promising. Will have a look at net flights etc too. Justwanted to make sure we wouldn't get stitched up with taxes or further insurance on arrival. I didn't think we would be but no substitutes for people with experience

Luckily I set my stall out when I hire a car at the start that I don't want extras!

thanks for the info what I was looking for

Used Alamo quite a few times, but booked directly with Alamo.com in the US.
no problems with them, but their cars are not the cleanest.

Their not dirty by any means, but they are well used.

but they give you an SUV for around $550 for 2 weeks fully inclusive, so cant be bad,

2 problems with booking direct in the US:
They aim their product at the US market who alread have their own insurance so you need to know which insurances to add, most people are more confident using UK companies who offer a fully inclusive rental.
Price, its often cheaper in the UK, depends on which SUV hired but UK 2 weeks fully inclusive would be from around £250(less with a good deal), $550 is almost £100 more.
