Has anyone rented one of these from Alamo. What I want to know is do the back seats fold up to give more room in the back. I am trying to fit a child size electric wheelchair in the back but with still 2 or more seats in the middle with room for seating.

Here is a picture from the chevy website. The 3rd row folds down flat. I don't have an Uplander but have a Trailblazer with a 3rd row and it folds down the same way. It has a 50/50 split so you can fold down one side or both. You would still have seating for 2 in the 2nd row. Hope this helps.

I'd be concerned about the height that you would need to lift the wheelchair to get it in to the back. It may not be a problem if the child's power wheelchair isn't that heavy, but my DD's is a beast.
I think the easiest might be to go to a dealer and check out the actual size compared to your child's wheelchair. One time when we bought a new vehicle, we thought we would be able to get DD's manual wheelchair into the back from the dimensions we found on the car specs. but once we actually saw it, we could tell right away the wheelchair would not fit in the space because of the angle of the back liftgate.

I have 1 as a company vech. What I would do is take out the Drivers pass. capt chair and put the wheelchair behind the driver seat .They come out very easy and are not as hard to handle as the bench style seats.

You could also take some motorcycle type tiedowns and strap it to the seat holders in the floor to keep it stable. This would give you additional room for luggage as well.
