Alamo Car Rental - Additional Driver question

We are Alamo Insider members and I wanted to double check that the renter's spouse is an authorized driver at no additional charge. Thanks!

Yes. From the Alamo web site FAQs (https://www.alamo.com/en_US/car-rental-faqs/additional-driver.html):
"Renter’s spouse or domestic partner who meet the same age and driver’s license requirements of the renter are authorized drivers at no additional charge.:

But note this further on in the FAQ:
"Please Note: When booking via a third party; the relationship is with the Tour Operator and not Alamo directly. As a result; Alamo Insiders benefits will not apply."

We usually rent via Costco, so the Alamo Insider benefit may not apply, even though we are also Insider members. However, the Costco rentals include a free added driver, so we're always covered under that provision instead.

I second the Costco option. The rates have the Costco discount so you don't have to search for discount codes. It does not link directly to your Alamo account but I still am able to use the "Skip the Counter" option,
