Not exactly Florida related, but close and i dont know who would know better than some of my fellow dissers! ;)
Twice in the last 4 months i have rented cars from Alamo through easycarhire online, once in Toronto, and once in Houston, I have just opened my bank statement to find Alamo have charged me nearly $28us for god knows what, and the one in Toronto charged me $21can, again, no explanation of what this charge is for!
I put both cars back with a full tank of fuel, never drove on toll roads (thanks tom tom, :) ) never got a parking ticket, and my rental agreement clearly states all airport fees were paid with my booking,
so im at a loss,
Ive tried phoning for an explanation, but i think my broad north-east scotland accent was lost on the hispanic person on the other end and got me nowhere!
so my fellow dissers, guesses on a postcard please, or are Alamo just pulling a fast one here and chancing there mit?
cheers for any insight,
REDZ

Are you sure you didn't pay for a full tank of fuel upfront?? That's what happens at the Alamo desk at Sanford, and is the 'default' way of doing it. I believe you have to ask to bring the car back full.

I did tell the guy i would bring it back full, as i could have filled the car twice for the money he was asking for, so he was well aware i didnt want the tank of fuel from them,
I have called again about the money taken from my card after my trip to Toronto, It turns out highway 407 is a toll road and i didnt pay! a strange one as i never saw any toll booths to pay at, but they assure me i have 2 citations for driving on it without paying. :confused3 (a big booo to tomtom for that one)
does anyone know what a citation is? am i going straight to jail if i try to go back to Canada again? I have paid the fine even though i had no idea i was in the wrong! :drive:
