Alamo At Tampa?

Anyone has any experience in dealing with Alamo at Tampa? Are the lines long? Is their customer service the same as in Orlando? We have only used National for the past 3 years and we are completely spoiled by the Emerald club. This time we need a minivan and Alamo is over a $100 dollars cheaper I know we have to take a shuttle for Alamo and National, so, anyone know what rental companies operate inside the airport? If we are not using the EC we might as well look into renting from somebody else

We returned our rental to Tampa on Sunday. The return was quick and easy. It was around 3:00 pm, and when I checked inside, at the front desk area, there didn't seem to be any lines. The shuttle back to the airport was very good....the driver was pleasant and did double check to see if anyone had a flight that was soon. While I can't say anything about renting from Tampa, I can say that the return was very good.

We rented from Alamo at TPA a few months ago. Our arrival flight was at 11PM. We waited about 5-10 minutes for a shuttle. The ride was just a couple of minutes. I got out and went straight to the counter while DH waited and got the bags off. I was the 2nd person in line and everything went quickly. Just make sure you have your confirmation printed out because they did try to charge me for an additional driver, but that was already included in my price with the Walmart code I had used, and it was indicated on my confirmation. I would use them again.

You may want to look into an "insiders tip" Ive found. Budget has a location on Westshore Blvd, 1/4 mile from the airport. Taxi fare cant be more then $5. You avoid all airport fees and only have to pay sales tax on your rental. They will also refund your cab fare (up to $5). The location is in a semi-residential area, so there are no lines, and service is super quick...
