I've heard the lines for rental cars can get outrageous at Alamo.

We are arriving on Saturday, June 26th around 5:30pm, and have a prepaid reservation for a convertible for 7 days.

Any idea on how long it will take to get our car? I'll have an IMPATIENT 13 year old who will be ready to get out of the airport!

Thank you!

On a Saturday I would expect them to be pretty well staffed, but, I would bank on at least 15 mins. Your 13 year old will have practice for patience for the Disney lines. :)

15 minutes, she can handle that......and good point about the lines. We'll be at Universal, but the lines will still be present, since we are offsite. Oh well, it's about mom daughter time anyway, so we'll have plenty of that, right?

Thanks so much!

Yep, mom/daughter time is special. Get her to imagine the folks in line in just their underwear. LOL That can be very amusing, or, have her imagine what they do for a living. I found that that keeps them occupied and the time goes much faster that way. :)

:)I had heard horror stories about Alamo @ MCO but I have to say we had a great experience. We arrived on a Friday night with about 5 other flights but they had about eight agents working and we got right through. They weren't pushy about extras... Even better we paid at pickup and at drop-off for some reason there was a $10 difference in price and they credited my card for the $10 this months statement.(this was without me even calling or mentioning it). GO ALAMO!

Arriving at midnight on Friday nights, our longest wait with Alamo has been and hour and a half, and the average is 45 minutes. That's mainly due to non-existent staffing at that hour, but you'd think by now they would know they need more workers. At the same hour, Hertz always has plenty of people.
Other than that, they're fine. They try to push the insurance, but we've had that happen with other rental places as well. We tend to use them quite a bit because we often get them through Priceline.

Renting in December, i was able to get a Free Emerald Club membership and then a discount rate through the National site (with the Emerald club you get to skip the counter.) I think the total difference in price was about 85 cents more with National for the rental.

The free Emerald club code I got on mousesavers.com

Hope this helps.
