Have a rate of $218/week ++ for three weeks starting in mid June for a full size SUV. Wondering how Alamo is and how rate is.

I've gotten them many times via Priceline. Mostly they've been okay, and you'll probably like the fact that you are able to pick your own vehicle, as there should be a good variety of SUVs to choose one. You can pick the size/style that is most comfortable for you to drive.
The only problems I've ever run into are an agent trying to trick me into taking the insurance (this seems to be one agent in particular, as I usually arrive at the same time on the same day of the week) and a long line with only one agent to wait on everyone. I'm hoping that was an isolated incident in the offseason, as that was the only time it ever happened.
The cars have always been in decent shape, and we've even been upgraded a few times.

At least two large planes emptied at baggage check. So a large number of people went up to the rental lines at the same time. We waited forever for someone to help us. The customer service was terrible and she really leaned on us for the insurance.

All of the other rental companies had moved their customers through the line while Alamo's customer's stood there. Absolutely, the two people behind the counter were just mailing it in, so to speak.

I won't do Alamo again, which is why I'm checking out the transportaion board.

Is Alamo the only company that has a drop at WDW. We only need one way rentals and have three vehicles for our party of 13 to get from Mco to pop century. 2 vans and a compact car.

Ditto on the long wait at the Alamo counter. We landed late, around midnight, and there were two people working the counter. Doesn't sound too bad for midnight other than there must have been 40 people in line. Worse yet, with Alamo you go across the street and pick your car - nice thought. the downside is that there is another slow moving line to exit becasue the gate attendant has to log the car you're taking and other incidental information. Truly a good news / bad news story for Alamo.
