The whole farcical story is too long to relate - and it wouldn't be good for my blood pressure....

..... however I'm now FINALLY in possession of a faxed copy of my car hire vouchers for Alamo (with correct details) - picking up on Thursday afternoon.

It doesn't look very official, although it is on Thomas Cook Signature fax paper and has reference numbers on it. The people in Thomas Cook have assured me that this is OK and it will be accepted. Two of them have used faxed vouchers themselves, they say.

However I'm still a bit anxious, not least because by the time we get to MCO the Thomas Cook Signature offices in UK will be closed for the evening. Anyone ever picked up a car with faxed vouchers who can offer me reassurance??

Thanks guys.

edie w,

We fax copies of vouchers all the time, particularly for late bookings. Also almost every voucher that gets issued has a "fax partner" thats been sent to the airport. All you really need is the booking reference. No need to worry so long as Thomas Cook got it right.

My voucher from Bon Voyage doesnt look like a voucher just like a letter really. I wouldnt worry like Elle said they fax a copy to Alamo as well so Im sure it will be fine:D

Clarey, can I just ask you, have you booked through bon Voyage before?
Just wondering as I have booked with them for next Christmas and would like to know how you rate their service.
We have to wait to book the car hire as it'e all too early.
Are alamo OK? we have always had a Dollor car.
Thanx and sorry to hijack your thread Edie

Hi Lin I have never booked with them before but the service that they have given us so far has been A1 :) Never used Alamo before either sorry.:Pinkbounc

Used Alamo twice in the past 15 years, they are just as good as Dollar but use different cars, I think they use General Motors cars where Dollar use Chrysler.

Does anybody remember Lindos car hire, the first I ever used in Orlando?
