Hi, I am renting from Alamo 🚙and I have planned to use Visitors Toll Pass. They instruct to decline the Rental Car Company Toll service. Anyone know how to decline it? Also, any experience feedback with Visitors Toll Pass. Thanks!

The cars I've rented from Alamo in Orlando all have the transponder on the windshield that you open/close depending on if you are using it or not

Yes be sure it’s in the Closed position as you ll not Only get charged the toll but Also get charged an Xtra fee by the car company for using it. Total rip off. I use my own Fla pass,

Note that not all of the Alamo rentals will even have a transponder in the car. Sometimes, they are just registered as fleet vehicles using toll-by-plate. Although many report on this board that there is a mounted transponder in their Alamo rental, my experience has been that I have never had one in any Alamo rental in Florida, probably 4 rentals/year for at least the last 10 years, since I switched from National to Alamo when using Costco to book my rentals. This may have changed more recently, however, since Florida’s two different toll agencies (Florida Dept. of Transportation—Sunpass and Central Florida Expressway Authority—Epass and now Unipass) now are fully interoperational with the EZPass toll network that covers most of the states east of the Mississippi.
