I have never been able to see the Aladdin show and am excited this visit it will be showing! How long does it run roughly (trying to figure out if we should eat dinner before or after because we will be getting in late afternoon)? TIA :thumbsup2

The Aladdin Show is one of my most favorite things to do in CA!

I think the show is about 45 minutes.

I had to literally drag, bribe, beg my DH and DS to go see Aladdin the first time. They neither one like muscials....DD and I love them! They were blown away and love this show as much as we do now.

A trip to DLR is not complete until we see Aladdin.

Enjoy!

Depends on the time of the year but you do want to get tickets for the show early so you get down front seating. I would do the show first then dinner. Allow 40 minutes for the show itself and time waiting to get in. You will be in a herd heading to Tower of Terror or to the main area so that is more time. The last one is usually 5:15 pm so you either eat a late lunch or you can do the earlier shows and have dinner at a normal time.

Tickets??? What tickets? Are they seperate from the admission?

We didn't have tickets, and got there only about 10 minutes before the show started. And that was just to the building, then we had to get inside and get seats. We had seats in an upper level, which I thought were awesome. I don't think there is a bad seat in the place. Of course, I prefer to sit in the balcony for all shows/musicals I attend. This was during spring break, so it was a busy time.

It's just me, but I wouldn't wait in line for this show. I think that you can get a great seat without spending time in line.

I have never used Tickets before. Are there tickets for the better seats??:confused3

They used to hand out tickets (they were free) to the shows at that theater but I believe that was before the Aladdin show was there. We had to get tickets to see Blast when it was showing, but that was several years ago. I think some people also get priority seating tickets when they book a vacation package.

Because we are syating at DLR can we try for priority seating? Might be worth a shot to be sure of good seats? I am so excited now, I just was never able to go on a day they had it. In fact i see it WILL NOT be playing on Saturday and Sunday! So MUST catch it Friday! WOOHOO! SO EXCITED! (DH and DD love the movie)

The priority seating is a coupon you get when you book a package thru certain travel companies tied into Disney Travel. We had the coupon last March & there was a seperate line for PS. We got in line & were told they had the maximum PS people for that show & so we had to stand in line with everyone else. Kinda a drag, but really, there is no bad seat in the theater. The lines get long early, so plan on a wait time....but the show is Broadway calibur & worth the wait. We go every trip & never tire of it.

My dad and brother were the same way. They were dead set against seeing it, but now thats the one thing they yabber on about when we start planning our trips back to DL. The show is about 45 minutes long yes and worth every single second of it.

Can you still see the show if you don't have a ticket? Is the *ticket* for better/priority seating?

I dont know what the ticket is... Never heard of it.

The show is free once you purchased your park pass and head to the Hollywood back lot. You just get in line and before the show they just shuffle people into the auditorium and you sit wherever. If you have a wheel chair disability or an autistic person with you, I know they can let you to the front of the line to go in first.

They might be referring to the AAA tickets or something like that, that gives you access to the show early or for the better seats. We have used the AAA tickets for the show. Still free just a AAA perk.

Yep that is what I mean, they used to hand out tickets for Blast and it has been a while since I was in DCA. Either way if you want front row get there early. If you want upstairs ask a CM. There are elevators and disabled friendly lines and stuff.

the only "tickets" are priority seating tickets that are given with some hotel/ticket packages. You don't really need them--in fact, I don't like to sit in front because it's more difficult to see some of the aspects of the show--the best seating, in my opinion, is in the first couple of rows of the balcony.

There are no tickets to see Aladdin, you do not need a ticket to see the show. Some people book with AAA or WDTC and get "priority seating" to the show but it's not necessary. We don't even like sitting in the front, we much prefer sitting upstairs on the mezzanine level. :)

Very much agree!

The "priority seating" isn't my preferred seating location....front row center....upstairs. :thumbsup2

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but...

Are there any "tricks" to getting a good seat "upstairs" (balcony)?

How early would you typically get in line?

TIA :goodvibes

not a stupid question at all--just hard to answer. It really depends on the size of the crowd and whether they've seen the show before or not. Most "new" people will immediately head for the front section, those "in the know" will immediately head for the mezzanine/balcony area. So it depends on the make-up of the audience. I think if you're in line at least 20 minutes before the show on most days you should be fine.

I acutally remember them handing out "tickets" years ago for Alladin. During busy times. I don't think they do it anymore. No ticket is required, nor has it even been. If the park isn't too busy you can take the chance of not waiting in line-you'll probably still be able to get seats on the 2nd or 3rd level.

Love the show! :lovestruc
