Does anybody know how long this show is? I thought I read it was approx. 30 minutes, but that was quite awhile ago, and I'm not sure.

Thanks!

5 days and counting!

I think that sounds about right. I did TTWC right before this so had to scoot over to make my show and ended up seated in the balcony which was an AWESOME view, especially for the flying carpet rides! My only regret was that I went on my last day, otherwise I would have seen this show again
and the GENIE ROCKS, catch his jokes:thumbsup2

and then some.. it's at least 44 minutes as per the photos i took, from the time the show started (excluding the time waiting for it to start) through to the curtain call

I do agree that 40 minutes is a more accurate estimate. There is a huge time investment with this show, between waiting in line, then entering and sitting and waiting for it to start, we usually plan on an hour and a half total...but OMG it is so worth it!! A definate favorite, we never miss this. I have heard rumors that they are getting ready to shut it down, that will break my heart! :sad1:

I was also going to say 45 min. and well worth it! A must see. :goodvibes

We haven't seen it recently but we have seen it 10 times, so far!

Here's a few pix if you need convincing- Enjoy!

can anyone explain how the seating works...I seem to recall that you queue according to section. Any hints please!

those with priority viewing show up about 30 minutes prior to showtime by the 'box office' and will be let into the orchestra section first.

otherwise, there are 3 queues outside, closer to TOT, one for each section: orchestra, mezzanine and balcony. queues are opened up by demand. so once the orchestra fills, the mezzanine is open, followed by the balcony (although this rarely happens).

you are free to sit anywhere in your respective section.

It's about 45 minutes and really, it doesn't matter when you get there, all the seats are good!! I actually prefer sitting on the second floor, you can see something special so much better from up there. :)

I think 45 minutes is right... my plan for our upcoming trip is the 4:10 Aladdin, and then scoot over to watch the 5:15 Pixar Play Parade, and then make our 5:50 ressies at Ariel's! Whooo.... busy I know, but I think doable!

Wow, thanks for all the good tips and info! The pics were great. I forgot, we do have preferred seating for this from the package we bought through Costco :woohoo: . So I better plan on getting our bunch over there by 11:50 for the 12:25 show.

Man, I love how I'm sitting here planning... think of a question... put it on the board... 15 minutes later I have my answer. You guys rock! :worship:

I was hoping I could just sneak a question in here about this topic...Probably a really silly question, but I've never been to DL, we are going in October. Do you have to buy tickets to this show???

no, admission is free with admission to DCA itself. there are priority viewing passes available when booking a package but they're really unncessary

Agreed, all the seats are great, different perspectives. It is worth mentioning, though, that if someone in your party has limited mobility issues, you want to line up early for the first floor, otherwise there are stairs to deal with. :goodvibes

Note to self: Must make Aladdin show this time. It wasn't running when I was there last...

I agree with pixiewings. (on all items above)

Our first time to see Aladdin, we showed up 10 min. prior to a show. There was a huge line for the Orchestra. I asked the CM what the line to the left (nearest the street) was, & he said for the Mezzanine. So we got in the Mez line.

We were 20th-30th in line for the Mez. As we entered the theatre the 20 people in front of us "lemming"ed to the right down the first set of stairs. I instinctively grabbed my family & beared to the left around the crowd & walked to the middle of the theatre....down the stairs & we were front row center in Mez. (several others saw this logic & followed me). I really can't imagine better seats (& we did this on our second viewing of Aladdin on the next trip).

I personally wouldn't even want reserved seats unless they were lower (front row) mez. You are eye level for the carpet & the elephants. :thumbsup2

Does anyone have more info on the show ending? I really wanted to see it again in Dec.
