Yesterday we watched Aladdin for the last time as we won't be back until March 2016 & by then it will be gone. When the show ended, I have to admit I got teary eyed. I really love this show. We see it every trip to DL/CDL as its a favorite of ours. I'm just really sad to see it go. Hopefully the Frozen show will be just as good, but I know Aladdin will defiantly be missed by us.:(

I completely agree! I was so sad when I heard that the show was leaving next year. We love Aladdin and always make a priority to see it every trip. It's such a well done musical, and you really never see the same show twice because of Genie's jokes. The show also seems to always pack a full house.

I'm still holding out hope that they change their mind and keep Aladdin. I personally don't think that Frozen could be as great as Aladdin is, and I think a lot of people feel this way as well. Frozen is starting to get a little old.

Guess we'll have to wait and see. :(

I concur. When I lived in CA for half of 2012 and had my SoCal pass, Aladdin was the one thing I could almost always get into with not a huge wait, so needless to say I saw it quite a few times. Both with and without Aladdin and Jasmine flying above the audience (when they took it out of the show for a while after the accident). I don't hate Frozen, but I think Disney has milked it too much and that cow's about to run dry.

I'm another one who will REALLY miss this show. It's one of the reasons we're squeezing in a last trip before it goes dark for good. We'll be there from Jan 2nd through the 6th and we'll definitely see this one at least twice while were there. I'll be so so sad to see it go!!

Here's a scrapbook spread from the last time we were there and saw the show:

I'm still hoping too... I made sure to email Disney & let them know how I felt about it in hopes that they got enough response that they would listen to the people who enjoy it so, much that they change their mind & keep it. I agree I don't think Frozen will be anywhere near as great, I guess I'm just trying to be positive about a change that I don't agree with so much. I also love genies jokes, it's what keeps the show up to date with what's going on.

we originally started going to see the show because there was not much of a wait and fell in love with it in the process. It's funny, because there's no wait but yet there's a full house each time. I don't hate frozen either. I agree it's been played out too much.

I love your scrap book! I took pictures for the first time yesterday as I don't want to not have some memories of this.

We've never seen it...I'm excited to catch it when we go back in November.

We actually just planned our first Disneyland trip specifically to catch this show before it disappears. Can't wait!

I plan on catching it in 12 days! We'll certainly miss it. The kids think it's great. That probably won't be the case once it switches to Frozen. Sure, the girls will love it, buy my son will be begging me to ride TOT 3 or 4 times while they're in there getting girlified.

Does anyone remember the last time they were going to get rid of Aladdin? I know there was a huge outcry and they scrapped the idea. I just wondered how close to the ending date they changed their minds. I'm still holding out some hope!

Considering I saw some posts from people auditioning for the Frozen show on Disney mediums , I highly doubt it.

Now don't get me wrong I'll miss it terribly and do love Frozen but understand how hard it will be to see it leave but in fairness it has had a longer run than ever anticipated.

Since I knew it was going to be closing, we made a point of seeing Aladdin for the first time on our DL trip this past week. Though it was well done, but nothing to get too upset over loosing. We had seen Aladdin previously on the Disney Fantasy and it was largely the same show, but on a smaller stage of course. Anyway, we have two girls so we are definitely excited to see what they do with Frozen. Has to be better than the Frozen sing along thing we saw right before Aladdin.

I wasn't really paying attention to it when the first closure was announced, but the Parks Blog had a piece on March 24, 2010 about it. It gave a closing date of August 15, 2010. Then on May 12, 2010 there was another Parks Blog post saying the closure had been cancelled.

I will miss it to but I do get excited for new things so I will welcome Frozen. When was this accident? I didnt even know about it!
