I've heard good things about this show but I see that it's listed as a 40 minute show. We're going with 11 & 12 year old girls and I'm not sure they would want to sit and watch this for that long. Is it really that good and worth watching? Is it a must do??

Oh yes..a must-do! I had never actually heard much about this show until I found the disboards last year. We loved the show, and saw it twice in one trip. And if it can hook two teenage boys, your girls will certainly love it!

After years and years of going to DCA, I had never given a second glance to the Aladdin theater. I create detailed itineraries for our DLR visits, and I had NEVER included Aladdin, despite hearing people rave about it here. Our family rarely sees any of the DLR entertainment..we've still never seen Billy Hill, WOC, and we barely just saw F! for the first time in 2010 -all this to say that historically, we've cared a lot more about the rides than the entertainment offerings.

We just saw it for the first time in January...just a last minute sort of thing as we were walking by...the line was short, so we jumped in.

It was SO good! It's definitely worth making time for, IMHO. And I'm saying that despite the fact that we had seats all the way in the back and it seemed every family all around us had screaming babies or toddlers. I'm looking forward to better seats and quieter co-viewers this time, so I can enjoy the show even more.

I've taken two of my grandkids to Disneyland four times. First trip January 2004, they were 6 and 9. It wasn't until the third trip in Jan. 2008, that we MADE time to see Aladdin. We saw it on the first day. They loved it so much we saw it two more times.

When I began planning our last trip Jan 2012, my grandson (17) and granddaughter (14) both said they wanted to see Aladdin on our first day in the parks. We were at Disneyland with a 5 day hopper and we saw Aladdin three times. My grandson enjoys the humor of The Genie. The program has something for ALL ages!

It can take a chunk of time to see the Aladdin Show but my whole family feels it's worth it.

I'm sure all of you will like it.

Aladdin is an outstanding show. Definitely worth the time. You will laugh harder than you have laughed in a long time. :)

I agree with everyone, it is an absolute must not be missed. Incredible performance.

Aladdin is THE must do for my family. My kids are about the same age and LOVE it. We actually plan to come early to get a seat close to the stage. This puts up in the middle of the action. No two shows are the same. We always make a point to see it a couple of times during our trip. :thumbsup2

Another 'yes' vote here! It's really a fantastic show and I can't imagine anyone of any age over 2 or 3 being bored. My kids have seen it a half dozen times and wanted to see it again when we were there last month. If you can get VIP tickets, all the better, but we have watched it several times from the balcony and still enjoyed it a whole lot.

Great show. Watch it when it's crowded elsewhere in the afternoon. Last two times we've sat front row center balcony. Very little wait time & great seats.

19 out 20 Disers would say Aladdin is a "must do". :thumbsup2

Absolutely! We saw it twice last fall. The genie is hilarious.

Aladdin is an absolute must do for us. We usually try to see this show at least twice each trip.

The genie's jokes are never the same. They always have to do with what is currently newsworthy. It's definitely worth seeing. Besides, if you are hot or tired, it's a good place to rest your feet and cool off.

I think it's very worth it. And DD was 2 when she saw it and sat through the whole thing just fine. We like to see the first show after 2:00 pm. We will have eaten lunch and been walking for quite some time and the chance to sit down in theater seats for a while and out of the sun is an added and welcome bonus so we can take a break before hitting more rides and such.

Well since nobody seems to care for this show I guess we can skip it.

:rotfl2:

Just kidding. This looks like something I'll have to make sure we do while we are there. Thanks for the advice! :thumbsup2

We're another family that loves Aladdin! :) We love the movie, but the live show was MUCH better! And, as everyone has said, the Genie REALLY shines!

There's probably nothing on the Dis that EVERYONE will agree on but Aladdin being a must see must be pretty darn close. We always make sure we see it at least once per trip. I was very happy they didn't replace it last year.

Add another vote for seeing it twice. We saw it twice in 5 days last time we were there. Loved it. My teenagers (who are easily bored and not all that into Aladdin the movie) absolutely adored it, and they asked to go the second time. I plan to see it again when I go back by myself in May and with my parents in July. And every time after that at least once. The Genie was a different actor and had different jokes each time we saw it, which I think is why it's so great and easy to see again and again.
