Someone asked me tonight if the show is still gone, so I thought I would ask my pro peeps! is the show gone from California Adventures still? I thought I had heard it was gone permanently and was not going to come back, is it the case? was it replaced with something else? What was it replaced with?

It's still around. There was talk of it leaving but it never ended up doing so other than for a refurb. I'm not sure what the long term plans are, but it is on the entertainment schedule online through February (the farthest the schedule goes right now). Right now it's playing every day but Wednesday and Thursday.

The Aladdin show was going to be replaced by a Toy Story Musical but due to the costs of World of Color they decided to put off the change. The sets for Toy Story were being built by a friend of a friend and the work stopped when the budget came in. Personally I don't mind change but I really don't like the idea of Toy Story Musical, it just doesn't seem like it would make a good musical. :sad2:

eh, not sure if thats the reason.

The reason that i heard is that Toy Story Musical was actually out and with a performance. The problem was, it was being played @ Disney Cruise Line. It wasnt popular so they never brought it over to DCA.

Interesting you say that, Albort. I've seen the musical on the ship, and thought it was okay. I think Aladdin is much better, of course.

The buzz on the last cruise (I didn't see it again) was that since they have more original songs the kids didn't relate to it as well.

umm i did hear that the alladin is still around.and that is all i heard

I really like the Aladdin show and I hope to see it again during our trip in July! I was happy when I heard that it hadn't been replaced! :cool1:

I saw the show over Thanksgiving it is ok at best and I don't believe anyone would want to see it a second time.

I have seen Aladdin a bunch of times and it is by far the best Disney show I have ever seen.

I think they got a lot of negative feedback and cancelled the idea.

I'm so glad! We've never been able to schedule it into our trips (too young kids, not enough days/time) so I've never seen it! I was so bummed when it was going to leave.

Thank you so much for all the info. I wasn't sure what the plan was with it, and now having been in DCA in a few months, I hadn't heard any official info about it. Thanks for the update, really appreciate it.

Saw it at Christmas and loved it. The genie made alot of relevant jokes and the adults laughed at that while the kids laughed at his expressions. Things like wikileaks, Lindsey Lohan and facebook. Second time I have seen it and I plan on seeing it everytime we go if its still around.

I saw the Toy story Musical on the wonder in October. I was soooo excited about seeing it and it was my least favorite show just ok

I will be in serious mourning when they get rid of the Aladdin show!!!

It is the highlight of my trip every time!
