AlabamaAlan vs the spider

Spider – I scream like a little girl and slap that sucker off my leg without thought and flee back to my bike as fast as I can.
My dd must be an AlabamaSara then.

Good Man

I take very good care of my flag

Oh Alan, your story is great!

You know, that's why I love livin' up here on the "north shore." While we do have spiders and snakes, they die off or go away when it gets really cold and none of them here are poisonous. While I might get the hebejebes over a spider, I won't have the same reaction I would if I were just a little farther south where the poisonous variety start to enter the equation. (Insert a huge shudder here.)

Spiders! Why did it have to be spiders!

That's the sucker that was on my leg. If it had been down my shirt I would not be here today to type.

I did run into this guy also called a garden spider last year

She was in a tree at my face level when I stepped out of my van.

I avoid tree spiders...I saw Arachnaphobia and know no goood can come from them.

I entered my vehicle from the other side when it was time to go!

OMG--those are so gross!!! I would wig out if that was crawling on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:earseek:

I wisely decided against the shirt removal idea because it would no doubt have lodged the spider in my hair or up my nose.

ROTFLOL! I HATE when that happens!

Great tale, Alan!

Alan, you already know how I feel about spiders. I try to carefully remove them from my home whenever possible, but sometimes they don't want to go. Then I have to go with the stomp method.

On me? Cardiac arrest is the first phrase that comes to mind. Probably I would jitterbug all over the lawn to the sound of my high pitched scream! Glad you survived!

Alan - I felt like the spider was crawling on me reading your story. I have DH kill the spiders in our house. We get a lot of the clear looking spiders. Down in the basement, there are some big black spiders. Yuck!

What really bug me are ticks. I feel them crawling on me after we go hiking, even if they aren't there.

Great story, Alan.

loved the story!!! You have achieved adult status now with the spiders.
