This announcement came out last month and I had not seen it till now so wanted to share it.
Effective August 1, 2024, Alabama residents will have a 13-month window to book reservations versus 12-months for out-of-state residents. The current policy had been 12-months regardless of where you lived but with other states having implemented this kind of policy (ahem, Florida), Alabama moved on it as well. This is particularly critical for state parks such as Gulf.

I am glad we got our DISMeet at GSP already on the books for next year.

PS - also at Cheaha SP in east central Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain the campsites book up in hours each day as the "Fall Foliage" dates in Oct/Nov come open for reservations
