Al Lutz posted another informative article today on MiceAge here: http://miceage.micechat.com/allutz/al022310a.htm

Highlights include:

o Captain EO opening today
o EO campers to be let in after 500 special invitees
o DL park still looking at expansion plans
o DCA 9AM opening is a test to allow more time at night for for WOC testing
o World of Color is on schedule despite rumors
o 1000 WOC spots to be held for reserved dining packages?
o 1000 WOC spots to be held for DVC and hotel concierge guests
o DCA entrance work starts in October
o Electrical Parade left to WDW because of changed logistics of parade route
o The DCA parade route will be much longer after park refurb completes
o EP coming back in early 2012 after DCA work is complete and workable parade route can be implemented
o More discussion of parking problems
o Serious talk of a new parking structure off Harbor near Gardenwalk with moving walkways that take guests over Harbor to DLR entrance

Don't have time to read the whole thing now, but this definitely caught my eye!

:dance3:
I wonder about the the new DangerMouse Quadfecta. Early WOC, then DEP, RDCT and late Fantasmic. All in one night. Wear your running shoes - and small children and old ladies better get out of the way. Imagine the possibilities. :rolleyes1

I have full confidence in myself that I can accomplish this ~ the Tri was no problem last July! :yay: :dance3:

Great article!

LOL!!! trust me, I already have been considering the possibilities, DangerMouse has to try it first though!

Apparently Walt Disney World is rather infamous amongst Anaheim Cast Members for not maintaining their attractions, equipment and facilities to Disneyland standards, and the Anaheim entertainment team is rather nervous about sending their newly refurbished floats out to Florida.
lol! This make me laugh. Good to here DEP will return

To George's great credit, one recent Friday evening he drove out of his assigned TDA parking space and went up Ball Road to try and park his car in the Mickey & Friends parking structure along with the rest of the Disneyland visitors. As anyone who has tried to park their car at Disneyland on a Friday evening knows, George spent plenty of time in gridlocked traffic, a long idling line for the ticket booth, and finally some time in an overcrowded tram loading area.

Needless to say, George wasn't impressed with his parking experience, and this wasn't even a busy Friday evening in summer or at Christmas or during the popular HalloweenTime promotion. It was only a relatively quiet mid-winter evening, but it was enough for George to be unhappy about. Note to George; If you really want to see ugly, try that same stunt on a late Friday afternoon in October.

I glad that the excutives, see what the guests have to put up with, instead of all there VIP, this and that etc.. Hopefully something will get sorted.

What's TDA mean though?

so a thing is not true... DCA is not closing early for WoC. in fact, its being extending out hours... park hours were extended to close at 10 a few times last week. Next weekend, i believe DCA will be closing at 10 as well...

the whole 9AM opening is to make room for a possible early entry option for guest...

As for World of Color showing, there is possible of 2 showing per night, and if demand is really that great, a 3rd show is possible making DCA closing at 12AM like Disneyland.

That reminds me of that show Undercover Boss. I saw it for the first time yesterday and I said Walt Disney did that all the time. DLR execs should be doing this! I understand the last pres hated to set foot in the parks. :confused3

OT: I saw Undercover Boss for the first time too and I like it! :thumbsup2 It was great how he offered the people such great opportunities.

Anyway, another great Al article. I'm glad WoC is still relatively on schedule. But up to 2000 of the 9000 seats might be reserved?? That is a solid chunk of the viewing area....Not sure I like that.

Does this mean that staying at Disneyland Resort might enable us to get tickets earlier than the general public? And a dining package like preferred seating for the Electrical parade while eating bread/cheese/wine in CA?

This might make a difference in booking...
any info would be appreciated

Al Lutz has been pretty reliable so far, but even he admits he reports on a dynamic situation giving us snap shots in time. Today's snap shot seemed pretty clear to me they are talking about actual tickets not just another viewing area.

I'll be having serious withdrawals with the ELP gone until 2012.:sad1: It seems like we haven't seem it such a long time.
