Since there are more than one phase of villas being released and people getting their points in accordance to when more phases open, will all of AKV, when it is completed in 2009, be considered one resort home? I know I worded that very confusingly, but what I mean is, if I am able to use my points when Sept 07 opens, will the new Kidani village also be considered my home resort? And will we be able to request Kidani village during reservations when it opens rather than the Lodge villas? Sorry I'm a little confused.

It will function as one resort with the exception of separate check in. Each building will be a separate booking category. Personally I think they'd have been better off making it two separate resorts.

Why? popcorn::

Because it would remove some of the confusion. You will have separate management in large part, separate housekeeping, maintenance, etc. You'll also have some guests who likely show up at the wrong place for check in. DVC could easily have sold and billed them as part A & B but technically separate while still having the economy of shared expenses and personnel up to a point.

Yes, you'll be able to request Kidani. In fact, since the majority of rooms will be in Kidani, it should be easier to book there than in Jambo House. :thumbsup2

Plus all of the concierge and all of the value will be in the Jambo House.

My understanding from my guide and member services when I booked for our trip this October is that you can request Kidani, but it is like any other request, they will do their best, but no guarantees. There are all four room types in Jambo, and the 1BR are smaller and missing a bathroom, so I'm sure in those cases everyone will request Kidani, but obviously some will need to end up in Jambo.

Actually DVC has already said the buildings will be direct booking categories and you'll know which building when you book.

That's not actually true. DVC has already said they will be different booking catagories. They would have to be since the rooms are different sizes and different layouts.

Will Jambo and Kidani both be my home resort? Or do you buy into only one?
It is one resort (Animal Kingdom Villas) with two buildings, one building is called "Jambo House" and the other building is called "Kidani Village". So your home resort is Animal Kingdom Villas.
