Absolutely! Without staying on savanna view, it's just like any other deluxe resort. The savanna view is what makes this resort special.

I love the Savannah view to me it is worth the extra points. I did stay in a standard view studio on a trip that I booked on a whim and no savannah view rooms were available and I had a view of the bus stop area.
Sitting on your balcony and watching the animals is so peaceful and relaxing, well worth the points.

Definitely worth it. I would not go back to standard unless I had no other choice. On our last visit we had a giraffe curl up right under our balcony every night. The kids loved it.

thanks for the help. I had heard that a lot of people that had Savannah View didn't see many animals, so I didn't want to pay extra and not get to see any.

The animals do roam, and they do go into the "barns" for daily checkup each morning. If you're expecting to only spend 10 minutes on your balcony every day, you may be very disappointed.


In my experience, the more time you spend at your room, the better the animal behavior watching experience. They do place food around the savannas each day, so at some point all of the animals will be in front of your room.

I can't imagine staying in Savannah View and NOT seeing animals - unless you're sleeping in past nine, and not returning until well after dark. We found ourselves taking time away from the park, so that we could enjoy watching the animals each morning and evening.

At sunrise, everything is active and out looking for food - grab a cup of coffee and have breakfast with the giraffes!
