Have anyone who stayed in AKV Value ever stayed in a studio at BLT before?

How much smaller is AKV studio value room from a BLT studio?

I have stayed in a BLT Studio before but not AKV value however It looks the same size or bigger.

A BLT studio is 329 sq. ft and an AKV value studio is 316 sq. ft. Not that much different in size but a big difference in points.

Ok thanks, if I had 4 people in the room, would it still be enough room?

They would only be using the room for a quick relax and sleeping.

only if they like each other...a lot...;)

AKV value studio felt smaller to me than a BLT studio. maybe it was because the furniture was mostly sized for the 365 sq ft studios.
YMMV.

Only if three of them were small children. Studios are not really meant for more than two persons, maybe one small child with them. And the two you have noted are the smallest of all of them.

Get an OKW studio, save points, and really relax.

Thousands of families stay every year at the value resorts and the rooms are only 260 square feet. Last year my family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) went on a 4 day Wonder cruise. We had a category 9 (outside cabin) and then we spent 3 nights at the All Star Music resort. Upon entering the room at All Star Music, my son who is 10 commented on how big the room was. It seemed really big after our cabin. So it is all a matter of perspective.

I don't know why someone would think a studio is only meant for 3 or less. DVC occupancy rules states that you can have 4 in a studio, so obviously the room is meant for 4.

As bunny said the value (BLT's) studio is still larger than a hotel room at a Disney value resort. If you are your friends coordinate the bathroom time and get along well, I don't see why you couldn't stay in a studio. Think of it as the four of you staying in large bedroom at home. How would that work out for the four of you?

You could use fewer points and have a whole lot more room in an OKW studio. Plus two real beds.

the blt bathroom has a problem.

the door has no lock. and some of them don't close completely.

so it depends upon how much you like your privacy.

don't remember if the value studios at AKV had this problem or not?

We stayed 4 in the BLT studio (me, DS20, DD16 and DD13) for 2 nights and it worked out okay.

I am not sure I would have wanted to be there for a long time as it was a bit tight, but we made it work. Of course, my DD16 didn't want to sleep with her sister, so she was on an air mattress on the floor.

I have not stayed at AKV value so not sure, but I know that when we went from BLT to VWL, about 40 sq. ft larger than BLT, it felt a lot bigger. That extra space can make a bit of a difference, especially if someone does not want to share the sleeper sofa.

I have not stayed at a studio at BLT but I am writing to you from a value savannah view at AKV. After all the negative comments from people here I was worried about space with DH, myself and two kids ages 4 and 9.

The only problem we've had so far is that there wasn't enough space to put all the cushions and pillows that we took off the bed and sofa bed! We spent 3 previous nights in a studio at OKW and that was awful, but it might have just been our room. The beds LOUDLY creaked with the littlest noise, the busses and gas powered golf carts seemed like they were IN our room...even running in the middle of the night. I got very little sleep in that much larger OKW room.

This room is fine and for the points...it is great! (JMO)

Thank you,

We stayed in studios (as well as 1 BR) at AKV and OKW. Even though the OKW studio is a little larger and point usage is smaller than some resorts, the room "seems" smaller since there are two beds and you don't have the floor space as you do with a sofabed. The table area seemed more cramped also. I guess just the way it was laid out.

We always put the sofabed away in the morning and enjoy having more floor space with coffee table, etc.

We were lucky enough to get a AKV Value Studio for the end of May for an unexpected trip, which uses 10 pt. compared to 12 pt for the OKW studio, so we ended up saving some points.
