Could someone explain the difference between the AKV value and standard view?

There are two different views at AKV: Savanna view and Standard view. Standard view is anything other than a view of a savanna, namely a view of the pool, garden or parking lot. I believe in Jambo House all of the Standard View rooms will face the pool but in Kidani some Standard View rooms will face the parking lot or garden area.

What makes a room a Value room are its size and occupancy. They are smaller than the other rooms, and in the cases of Value 1BRs and 2BRs, they accommodate one less person because they do not have a sleeper chair in the living area. Value studios are listed as 50 sq ft smaller than non-Value studios, Value 1BRs are 80 sq ft smaller than non-Value 1BRs and sleep 4 (vs 5), Value 2BRs are 130 sq ft smaller than non-Value 2BRs and sleep 8 (vs 9). Only Jambo House will have Value rooms. Some will have a savanna view, others will have a pool view and some will be parking lot view rooms.


ETA: I forgot to answer your availability question. I would be surprised if there is anything left for this fall because the only rooms open by that time will be the rooms on the 5th floor of the Zebra trail and people have been calling to book those rooms since back in May. But you never know until you try! The Value rooms are not scheduled to open until Dec 1st.
