AKV Value 2BR 7 months ?

I am planning a trip last week in sep 2013 probably a 1 BR . But I have been point crunching , and realized the time I am looking to go V 2BR @ jambo house is in my point range . I would like to bring my IL , but most other 2br the points are too much .

Do you think at 7 months that there would be avalability for this v 2br ? How many do they have for DVC members ?

I am thinking maybe I could squeak by and get it since seems people like BWV and BCV at that time of year . Also the kids are well into school at that time .

Well that's cool , looks like only 2 rooms facing the parking lot .

Well I guess I will have to keep my fingers crossed or try the waitlist . It would be nice to be able to get the 2br . If not I will be happy this will be my first stay as a dvc member .

I hope I don't end up kicking myself for not getting the AKV . I could have got the free 20 when I bought . But I didn't want the higher MF.

You will need luck to get them. Sep except the last couple days is the lowest DVC demand time of the year, but even with that the values can be difficult 7 months out. At AKV, concierge and values usually go during the 11 minth window. This year you could not have gotten a 2BR value at 7 months for the last week of Sep because there were only a couple days in that week open when the 7 month window started last week of Feb.

There are dedicated value studios, so it's not as bad as it may seem.

I agree - tough but not impossible. I look today (11 month window for 2/11 arrival) and the night of 2/14 is available, but nothing else 2/11-16. I'd definitely have a back up plan!

I am not to worried if I get it or not . If I can't , my in laws can't come . It would be nice though . I think ill just wait list it .

I think what you meant is that each Value 1BR that is booked reduces the number of potential 2BRs. As Bobbi said, there are some dedicated Value studios so those booking studios don't necessarily take a 2BR out of inventory but those booking a Value 1BR do.

I will tell you as an AKV owner for the past couple of trips I have always booked a value 2 bedroom at 11 months and changed it for something at 7 or cancelled completely so on multiple occasions I've made somebody's WL come through. Good luck to you..I hope you get it!!!

Nice can you put in for a 2br for 5 nights sep 22 . Lol this is kind of what I am hoping for .

I think you would have a good chance right at 7mo. We lucked out and snagged a 1BR V 3 months out for that same week 3 years ago. 5 nights is easier than 7 and if you WL you would probably get it. Good luck!
