AKV to Wilderness Lodge

What's the quickest way to get from AKV to Wilderness Lodge for a Breakfast ressie at 8:10 am. MK opens at 9am.

Should we take the bus to MK then the water taxi over to WL? Will the transportation be running at 7:15 am if the park opens at 9am? Is there a better/quicker way to get to WL that early?

The quickest way is to take a cab. The other options is to find a park that has EMH and get a bus to there and hopefully you can get a bus back to WL. A lot of the buses do not head back to the resorts early in the morning. The third options is to do what you said but I am not sure how often and early the water taxi runs to WL.

We did this 2 weeks ago so I could check in at WL. We stayed our first night at AK. I took the first bus to a theme park (which was HS) then I waited there about 5 minutes and a woman in a Disney pickup came by and asked me where I was going and she sent a bus to pick me up and take me there. It only took about 1/2 total time. I was shocked. I left AK about 7:15 if I remember right. I'd say your best bet is to take the first bus to a theme park.

For that early, you'd probably need to cab it to make sure. I don't think the water taxi start's running until 9.

The boats start running every morning from WL at 6:45 AM. This services the character breakfast at the Contemporary. We have also taken it to get to the Magic Kingdom for a 7AM start of the Train Tour (May, 2009).

So getting to MK or the Contemporary would be the big decision.

Take a cab...It is very inexpensive...May cost around $10 and is so easy...It is too early in the morning to be rushing and worrying.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! Next question - how do I take a cab? Do I have to call for one or call the front desk for them to get me one - or will there be any "hanging out" in front? I have no idea how to do this in Disney...

Go down and outside...A CM at the curb will call one for you IF there is not one waiting outside (usually there is one or two)...If they do have to call for one it will be there in just a few minutes...There are cabs all around the world ready for a fare.
